Hey GTplanet.

I bought the latest car DLC, and with it, got the Jaguar XJR-9 LM '88.

but just yesterday, it popped up in the UCD, alongside a '01 R8 Race Car.

I bought the R8 (only had enough for one of them now that B-spec Spa is over).

are the XJR-9's the same? there was no 'check mark' denoting that i already had it. they are the same colour and similar stats (of course one is used and the one i have is upgraded)

anyone know how they are different, if at all? do i need to have both in order to own 'all the cars'?

thanks in advance!

The one in ucd is standard, it's always been in the game. The DLC one is the upgraded premium model. I say yes, you have to have both to have every car in the game.

Just because one is standard and one is premium doesn't make them different cars. I think the new one is a premium upgrade making the old one redundant. If they upgraded a lot of the standards, it would be kind of silly to keep the inferior models. I think the downloaded premium should have just replaced your existing standard car in your garage. Not sure why they treated it as a different car.

What you suggest would probably be feasible if the upgrades were free. However since you have to buy the DLC to get premium, not only would some people not have the upgraded car, it wouldn't be right to pay PD just for them to take a car away and give you another one.

Plus, the rims are different, so it turns out they are (slightly) different.:sly:

So it's not really the first "premium conversion" like everyone is saying then. Interesting. I didn't notice that.

The difference in HP is probably something to do with engine break-in...
At 0miles, are they the same or different?

At any rate, I think there are other cars that come in both Premium & Standard, and the collectors would probably need both I should think... though what other than the graphics is different? I don't know.
