1. it's offical; LT (sorry, i can't spell his name) is the most overrated player in the NFL. bottom line: HE IS NOT A BIG GAME PLAYER, NOR IS HE GOING TO BREAK EMMIMT SMITH'S ALL-TIME YARDAGE RECORD. everybody says that he is going to win the MVP, but he hadn't led the NFL in rushing, he has led the leauge in rushing TDs only once, and he has never gone over 1,700 yards in a season. yesterday vs. a extremely tough Baltimore defense, on the road, he did not score a touchdown. then again, maybe it is expected out of a player which in college, rushed for over 700 yards in two years against Texas-El Paso teams that went 5-7 and 8-4, respelty

2. Chicago Bears CB Ricky Manning, as you all know, was arrested in the offseason when he reenacted a scene from 'Revenge of the Nerds' (if i'm correct) outside a Denny's. last week (i think) he pleaded 'no contest' to his charges. now here's the thing that really got me; i heard that this morning, he may be supended. let me repeat that HE MAY BE SUPENDED FOR PLEADING 'NO CONTEST'which made the NBA even more stupid for not supending Kobe Bryant for pleading not guilty for 'RAPING'that girl. anyway, my point is, if a fringe player making the league minaum can be suspended for pleading 'no contest', than a superstar make $20 million a year should recive the the same treatment. as a hillbilly friend of mine would say;

I agree but he was still a great fantasy pick.

Why? No contest is just legal jargon for guilty but not admitting to it because I don't really have any form of defense. Please give me a slap on the wrist. It is sometimes used as another form of plea bargain.

Not guilty means just that, you claim that you are not guilty. When the girl refuses to testify, her story starts not making sense, and then she finally backs out and hides, refusing to cooperate with police how can you accuse Kobe of anything? He gave his side of the story and he stood up to do it publicly while his accuser ran and hid and eventually refused to work with police to the point of dropping the charges.

How do you know that Kobe raped that girl? If it turned out he did I wouldn't be surprised, but if he didn't I wouldn't be surprised either.

Then why are you comparing NFL and NBA? It's two different sports. NBA takes less mature players while the NFL requires two years of college. When things happen with NFL players they are immediately susp[ended and/or dealt with on some level. Heck, they even get fines for being whiney after/during games.

It is two different sports with two different sets of rules. Besides the NBA sucks from top to bottom. I can't even watch it.
