TX Wheel Button Configuration

Hi guys with TX wheels!

Just wondering if you have found any decent button configuration settings, preferably with look left and look right functions?

I tried altering the buttons last night but had a message saying that not all required buttons etc have been selected. Problem is it doesn't tell you what ones are required?

I suppose this is more personal preference but am curious anyway.

Secondly, do you recommend me configuring the wheel, I am using it on default settings (ie just started playing without doing anything) and i quite like it! Perhaps FFB is heavier once configed?

I had the exact same problem. Did some playing about and research I can share with you.
Firstly have you noticed that a few of the TX 458 buttons replicate the same action? When you read the manual (crazy I know) on how the buttons are mapped we are actually missing two buttons on the wheel that would be present on the pad. They are the ones under the thumb sticks (which for the life of me I can't remember their name, is it L3 and R3).
I though they would be mappable by connecting to a PC and changing the layout but it is not possible. In the manual it says that in the future we should be able to do this once there is a new firmware update, so fingers crossed.

In the game I found that you must have buttons assigned to: cylcle view, rear view, handbrake and Kers. There are others obviously but you'll definitely need those assigned to be able to drive. So the only ones we can move to other functions are: lights, windscreen wiper and the cycle through lap timer and cycle screen telemetry. P.S that's all from memory so I hope I got hat right, it was 1 in the morning while I was doing that.

With regard to the force feed back I find it in general too weak. I've tried at least 10 cars on 6 or so tracks from different categories, all the same. There are so many sliders to play with I haven't really began to experiment but one thing to do is in the garage for each car go to the setup screen and cycle to forc feedback. Then adjust the master tyre feedback for that car. I have it around 38- 45 depending on the car. The Clio for instance I had around 45.
Hope some of that helps for now. Hopefully some much more knowledgable people will come up with some good setting for us to try soon!!
 
Thank for taking your time to respond. Will have this post open when I play with the button config tomorrow. Yes I have noticed that the TX wheel has duplicated buttons, a tad annoying as i feel they are going to waste.
