Right.

If you are interested in comparing your best time in Time Attack mode with your password that is given to you at the end of the stage, I have translated the only official site that utilizes the password system in an organized (although Japanese) fashion.

In the following posts, I will show you pictures of the websites you will be using, which I have translated, and will explain exactly what to do.

I will also make another thread in the future with GTP User Top 3 Best Times for each stage, confirmed through the Genki site. As in, who is the fastest on GTP, exclusively for GTP User comparision on top of the whole Genki Racing Project ladder on the site I am about to translate and explain.

GTP Users Currently Using This System:
Name.....................Search Word
Street Fighter............ canada
Ryen49....................... ryen

Let's begin...

www.genki.co.jp/games/sb01/ta/
You can install the language pack if you like, as it will keep things in order on the site.

This is the Official Genki Racing Project website, where users (exclusively in Japan until now) can compare their best times.

What I have done is merely make this site accessible to the average english speaking person with a little bit of time on their hands.

Please scroll down and compare the buttons on the site with Japanese writing, with the picture I have created below:

You can view any of the Top 50 times by clicking on a corresponding stage.

For now, let's click REGISTER BEST TIME PASSWORD (the white button on the left on the site).

This should appear:

Fill the above form out accordingly.
All best time passwords must be typed in capital letters.
Should you return to this form to submit another time, your Display Name and Search Word will be automatically filled in for you.

Click Submit at the bottom of the form.

Your time on whichever track and whichever car you used, as well as your name and comments will appear.

If everything is in order, click Confirm.

If this is your first time submitting a best time, ignore this post.

It will then compare your new time with your past best time.
Compare the times.
If your new one is faster, click Confirm at the bottom of the screen.

Whether this is your first time submitting or not, you will end up at this screen, which displays your rank and time and everything associated with it.

To exit this screen, click 'Back to Top 50'.

Now, you should be back at the page where we started.
If you scroll up (on this page) and look at my second post, you will see next to Register Best Time Password there is a button that says Search for Best Times by Search Word.

The next form will come up.

Type in a user's search word (mine is canada, as shown below) and click submit.

Below the green line is what will be shown after clicking the submit button.

When you are done here, click Back to Top 50 and your done!

Well, that covers just about everything one needs to know on the subject.

If there are any questions or misunderstandings, just let me know.

Otherwise, just leave your search word so I can check up on times and put together a bit of a database before making a big post with all the stages and whatnot.

Hope all you highway rollers can benefit from this :D

Wow, street fighter. I'm sure this will be appreciated by everyone, I know I appreciate it. Now that I know what records are I can try to break them. 👍 thanks for your hard work, man.

I bet they could have made alot more money off this game if they made something like this available in english. It certainly adds to the replayability of an otherwise trivial single player experience.

Once you understand it, it's simple really.

Look at the buttons in the first picture and compare them with the Japanese buttons on the site.

Go to Register Time Password and type in the password that came with your best time, along with a word (it can even be the same as your display name), and the name you want displayed with your time on the ladder. Then click submit.

Next time you go to submit a new best time, the word and name will be there for you.

Try it out, then post your search word here so can all see your time, which will most likely be better than mine :D

Hey, Street Fighter! What are you using to convert the site to english? Cause for some reason, im sick and tired of looking on the site then look into this thread. I got a time that'll get me into the ranks but I really don't feel like opening 2 windows cause it slows my damn 56K alot.

Well.. you could learn to speak Japanese or maybe invest in a better connection.
You're missing out in the land of computers.

The way I translated these pictures at buttons was through a long and complicated process which would simply be impractical for everyone to do at their leisure.

It might be a little time consuming at first, but once you learn the process, all you will need is to look at the stage translation keys on the 2nd and 11th post to compare them with what you are looking at on the japanese site.

The whole reason I have made this is because it is the fastest and easiest way to get around the language barrier, other than the ability to actually read and understand japanese.

Sorry if I was unable to cater to your needs.

I'll be signing up soon as I get around to doing a Wangan trial. My search word will be "XzifT" like my name. Thought you'd like to know ahead of time. :)

The site is giving me problems. I followed your translation thing and its refusing my password. Its really pissing me off.

It has to be in all capital letters.
If it still gives you trouble, try changing any 8's to B's.
I don't think the password system even uses the letter B, for this reason alone.

I know. I bought the Lotus (74) Europa. That little car hauls.

Street Fighter, I can't put in me time. I tried and did what you told me and it did the same thing.

Just avoid mistaking letters for numbers.
Change any numbers you may suspect as letters and vice versa.

The people I've talked to who have used this thread and my instructions have had no problems.

I'm sorry for bringing a dead thread back, but I seem to have a problem. I cant find the Resgister Best Time button. Its not there anymore, or is it just me? I got a #29 Tme, so I wanna show it off. :D

EDIT: ...Wait. They ended the 'contest'? :banghead:

Probably because my 553hp, 11000rpm FD is so damn pimp.

Edit:

Wow. It seems the GRP took a recent and unexpected turn for the gay.
They are no longer accepting best times on their f-cking automated site for some stupidass reason. All the best times you see are what have been submitted up until February 25th.

Do not ask me why.
