Tyre wear different in Open Lobby than My Lounge?

Hello, I recently joined a Series on here. they run everything in Open Lobby, due to the time difference it takes for the tyres to warm up. I have ran a Super GT series myself and we always ran it in a Lounge. Is this a known bug? Or is it a more Sim feeling feature? Since My Lounge is tailored o private/probably more organized races and Open Lobby is more Hop-in-and-go kind of racing, my thought is that it's a realistic factor.
