The UCD shows a blue circled check mark next to cars I already own- up 'til now. It's offering a XJR-9 LM Race Car '88. I have this exact car. Had it for over a year, real time (Date Acquired 2012/3/6). Looks the same, stats the same except for change I can't undo (Titanium Racing Exhaust), same exact name and year. I don't get it. Anyone know what might be up?

Could be a real PITA if I have to check every car I'm considering buying against my garage with a few hundred cars. I mean, if you have a XJR-9 you know it but further down the list...

Thanks,

Rick

If it's the Standard version, buy it. The most noticeable difference is the wheels. The standard has wire/spoked sort of wheels. I think the numbers are different as well. As far as standard cars go, it's uncommon so snatch it up! I waited a few thousand game days for mine :)

Do you have the premium version? Its a completely different car.

I don't think it could be. Was the premium Jag released that early? Either way, if its in Ucd get it. As gator said, its very rare. 👍

Thanks to all of you for the info. Yeah, I had the Premium version. For free. From reading on wikipedia I see it came with "Car Pack 3". Funny in all the threads I've seen evaluating/rating the car I've never read anyone distinguish. The numbers are exactly the same except hp, torque, pp very slightly higher for the Premium, which could be explained by either the upgraded exhaust or the lower mileage (haven't used it much- my Premium has 78 km, UCD Standard has 2681 km. I was away from the game due tho illness for around 8 months.

Is the standard better? I'm really not a collector & don't care how rare something is. I only want it if I'm going to race it. Apparently they both can be upgraded/modded the same except for purely visual stuff (or am I wrong about that?) and I never use interior view. But I understand the Standard advantage is they don't get damaged as badly. And what's 4 million? 2 1/2 Dream Car Championships for my B-spec boys.

Thanks,

Rick

While never driving the standard, i will tell you my premuim is at 961hp and 714pp, and is capable of breaking 300mph at SSRX.

Sure thing! 👍 Personally, I don't think it drives as well as the premium but I drove it in the 24 hours @ Nurb and it drove really well, especially in the rain. If you're tight on cash and aren't into collecting, then you can skip it. But if you ever change your mind and become a collector, you'll regret skipping the opportunity ;)

Agreed as i STILL havent gotten the standard :grumpy: :nervous:

I did not know they added a premium version of that car. I have had the standard version since well before the first DLC was released.

Do you know how many game days before it shows up? I've seen it only a few times since I got the game way back in the day. I'm still struggling to find the #17 versions of the Pescarolo's...I want all 5!

This picture should be in this thread:

I can't wait for Thursday when the OCD cycles...hopefully it's a good one! I snatch up the FGT immediately every time. I have 9 of 'em now all in different colors XD

I was bummed that the Peugeot Turbo 16 Evo rally car was the prize for the most recent seasonal...I FINALLY found it in the UCD and they give it away. It's not rare anymore :(

Like the X1 Vettel giveaway...

My Premium's only 712 pp w' 939hp stock but 715pp 962hp with the mid-range turbo kit added and 717pp 987hp with the high-range. Do you have the mid-range turned on? Mine's maybe one tick better due to the low mileage.

The Standard in the store (which I can wait a bit to decide on as it's in the top tier) is 709pp and only 749hp(!). 4,686,326 starting to look like a lot more for something that inferior.

An oil change for the Standard would probably bring those figures a lot closer to your Premium's stats.

Agreed 👍

Also no, i have high range on this car, but have done about 10,000 Miles, about half of those at SSRX
:dopey:

Well I guess that's possible, but I should think 190 hp would be some very muddy oil. If you're right then the previous owner should be shot for vehicle abuse. And 2600 km is only half-way toward where I would normally start thinking of an engine overhaul. At 10,000 miles, though, you might consider that if you haven't already.

My 'standard' XJR-9 LM '88 Stats.

1010 HP
894 kg
722 pp
@ 1601.9 miles.
Fresh oil/fresh eng.

My 'premium' XJR-9 LM
982 HP
894kg
716 pp
16.8 miles
fresh oil/fresh eng

don't pass on the standard.

Not quite. The stats you see in the UCD are the actual real figures, but once you buy the car they are quite different. For example, the Pescarolo Courage C60 shows as having 510 hp (as that is it's real life horsepower), but once you buy it, it actually has 800 hp. The standard Jaguar has over 900 hp, when you buy it.

Aside from everything else discussed here, the titanium racing exhaust cannot be removed from the XJR-9 LM because it's a purpose-built race car, not a race-modified (RM) car, so it only comes with the full racing exhaust and cannot be downgraded. Just a point of information.

Thanks much for the info. You saved me making a big mistake. Fortunately it's still in my UCD.

Bought standard. With level 3 turbo (have you got that on, Ills1999?):

1009hp
718pp
fresh oil but no overhaul yet
2,681km (1,666 mi.)

Do you know what causes this difference between its "real life hp" and what it has when you buy it? Is there any way to figure out this before you buy? I guess I'll try reexamining the car lists but as I said earlier, all the info on performance I'd found didn't distinguish between the Premium and Standard, or even mention that the jag existed in 2 forms.

& thanks DGXR. It had a blue circle with a check mark instead of a yellow circle with an exclamation point so I had no way of knowing.

Thanks again,

Rick.

I've had a couple of the rarer car and four or five of the others for over a year. I'd say the only difference worth noting is in the different numbers. They seem to drive just the same.
