The SuperXtreme Karting Championship - By the Underground Gaming League
Hey everyone. I don't know whether this is of interest, but I thought I'd get it out in the open anyway.
👍"The SuperXtreme Karting Championship is the UGL's premier Gran Turismo 5 event (at this moment in time). The series is designed for the closest racing possible, and emphasises individual driver skills. With the second season beginning in January 2012, up to sixteen drivers will battle it out across sixteen races, on both custom and in-game tracks. With restricted tuning of the karts too, the series is literally straightforward racing, without having to worry about having a better car setup."
This is basically a no-nonsense karting season. While there is only around ten of us currently active in the league, we're all friends, and go about things in the right manner, on and off the track. We are a mature league, and you must be at least 17 years to join in our events (due to past experiences with 'kids' ruining the fun). Also, we simulate things as though it's a proper sport, with teams having their own racing suits/car colours, which adds to our already-high level of presentation. Our league is directed towards casual players who just want to pick up and play, so without going into a lecture, here are the key rules:

Our rules are not overly strict, with the only obvious ones being clean racing, staying away from special racing gear/banned paints like Stig suits/gold chrome, and basically playing fair and not being an idiot. Last season of this event saw four different race winners across nine races, so the series itself is very competitive. While we have eight spaces taken, and eight left up for grabs, I'm not looking to fill the grid completely, because as the organiser of the league itself, I'd rather that only a few people settle in with each event at a time.
