The Spanish cars made during the Thatcher years are jsut as bad, Anyone remember the SEAT Malaga or SEAT Marbella?

I like the looks of the 80s Mustangs, the Renault Fuego, and the Toyota Carolla hatchback. but the rest of the images posted are trash.

I don't like any US sedan from the 80s, they are all vomit-inducingly ugly. Volvo tried to copy them with the 760 sedan.

You can do worse than the Hyundai Excel, I give you the Hyundai Stellar!

An absolute bargain, although far too close to me for my liking, less than 30 miles! Maybe I should buy it and kill it:idea:

PS, French cars aren't ugly, take a look at my lovely machine, a 1982 Citroen GSA. Either this will work in my favour or be seen as a real good addition to this thread:lol:

heh
ok lets leave it at a conclusion
the french like to leave there 'sporty' cars look like frogs...and in some cases, they exceed SO well, in this very goal, that sometimes, people can mistake them for something they just threw up on the street, as they see it drive by
but there are some other french vehicles, i think, its venturi, atlantique , and i think that car is nice looking, for the class it is in anyway.
hmmmm the GSA, hey here is another one!!
hehe

That US spec Fuego is certainly ugly, thankfully the Euro spec version, without the 'federal' bumpers and headlights and all those pin-strip stickers was a much smoother looking beast, it also went pretty well with its turbo engine.

The Fuego would be ugly if it was in a Ferrari livery - wedge-shaped cars like that never look good

Never heard of it before, but I can imagine it's horrible, after all, it's still an old Hyundai. Anyway, I know about the Excel from experience, to give an example of it's unreliability, the clutch cable broke 3 times in the 40,000 mi. that we had it. There's a reason the old Hyundais got the name 'disposable cars.'

The Excel sucked because it was a 323 wannabe car. Unfortunately, everything from Mazda during the '80s was brilliant.

And people on the Opinions forum think I'm brainwashed...
