How come ever time i try to save a picture i can olny save it as a bitmap? This kinda suxors because now i can't save an avatar that uh..."moves". Like it has something moving in it, know what i mean?

How can i fix the problem? Tell me there's a way...... :( :bitten:

Guess i was not specific enough....oops.

I meant that when i right-click a pic to save it, the only thing i can save it as on the drop down menu is bitmap.

save it as bitmap then convet it over to a gif or whatever.

But that's just the point...I can't save an avatar with motion like MazKid's or Jordan's, because i can only save it as a bitmap. And in all forums, an avatar must ba a JPEG or a GIF document. So when i try to convert an avatar with motion to a JPEG or GIF, the motion does not work anymore.

:(

The 360 Modena Rice Rocketeer put in his thread in the Rumble Strip. But what if i eve want to save another avatar like that? I can't just ask someone to get it for me, it'll never work, because i still have to save it...

:( :( :( :(

thats strange, it will let me save it as a gif.

are you sure that the bitmap is the only opition you can select?

ok just wanted to make sure.

I had a similar problem with my computer awhile ago, mspaint wouldnt let me save in any other file format other than bitmap

Hey let me tell you want to do... Just right click the pic that you want and copy the link that you see there. Next just paste that link where you can select a new avatar. Put the link where it says "You Can Enter an URL of your avator" under MY GTPlanet , options, change avatar. :D hope that helps.

What kind of image editing programs do you have? If what you're saving is a still image, you can save it as a bitmap then convert it to whatever you want later. Pixels are pixels, the filetype shouldn't matter until you want to post it back to the web.

right click on the image and take the url from the properties menu

Well, here's my two thoughts on the subject.
1. You have an 'unusual' program installed that has Jpeg's set to it as the default viewer, which seems to be interfering with IE, or Netscape (or AOL, and the list goes on...) I'm on a win98 machine right now, and if you open a folder, I see that under "folder options" and then the "file types" tab you can see what is controlling Jpegs. My PC runs on Windows XP, so I can check that later if you like (That should cover you if you have win2000) You can change your setting that way.....
2. Go into your internet Cache. (if you don't know how to find it, open the toolbar in your browser, hit "tools", then "internet" options", the "general" tab, then under temporary internet files, hit settings. That will tell you where they are located. Once you have that sorted out, go into that directory, and try sorting by type (then look for Gifs), or sort by size. With the 27K imposed limit, they will most likely be all in the realm of 25-27K.

I hope that helps. :)

The browser is what you use to access the internet. In windowsME, the giant blue "E" that you click on to get online is the browser. :)

well i also was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem with my internet explorer 5.5.
