Uhgg... Why me...

Well.. Some pretty bad news today -- Well no, VERY bad news today for me..

My mom thought she had a bladder infection and shes had it fo ra while now, she finally decided to go to the doctors. Well, what the doctor had to say was not anything about a bladder infection. It turns out that she has a syst on one of her ovaries. It could be cancerous, and if it is she could die within 2 years.. She's only 39 yrs old right now and im 15... I severely hope its not cancer but theres a 50% chance it is.. She has to go in and get an ultrasound in 2 weeks to see if it is or isnt. Im really worried and i hate to think what would happen if she really did.. well, pass away... If she did pass away i have no idea where id go or who id live with or anything.

Id be in a royal cluster**** and on top of that i would be wa too depressed to be able to do anything..

Im just so scared about whats gonna happen... :cry::(
 
Sorry to here this.

My mom had something similar to that a few years ago... but it ended out ok. I hope everything turns out good for you too.
 
Yeah... And on top of that she could have something called Systolic cancer, in which there is no symptoms of cancer or anything, and she could have had it for years already and it might have spread throughout her whole body.

Shes lost over 10lbs in the past month without dieting and shes been eating right and everything. She wakes up every morning with runny noses etc.. Every morning! (Its not because its cold.. we live in california and its like always 80 degrees out...) :(
 
no, but she's your mom. and you talk to us. in a way, it's affecting us all. seeing a fellow member all sad after such news can't make anyone happy, can it?

eh, don't worry yourself to death about it:)

Anyways the possiblity of cancer is always a pain, i hope she pulls through.

a few years back, my mom had blood poisoning(staff infection) and she almost died from it...she thought it was just a stomach flu or something, but when my dad got home, she was really wierd...like not responding to us and not doing much of anything...before we went to bed, my dad decided to call 911 and get her to the hospital...the doctors said that if he didn't call she woulda probably died in her sleep...that was scary. She pulled through and is all fine now.

Hope your mom makes it though and comes out better than before.

But hey Mum's are real tough, mine showed breast cancer the door last year!

Be tough for her, she's the one that needs you to do the looking after her right now!
 
Sorry to hear that man, hope you mum pulls through.

I wouldnt know how you feel the worst my mums ever had was a bad back. Nothing major like yours, but I wish ya the best about it ok!
 
Hey, mate, all Mums are tough (how else would they be able to put up with us giving them the ****s as little kids?). I'm sure she'll pull through if she was in perfect physical health before all this started, but all the same . . . *crossfingers* *crosstoes* *crossanythingelsethatcanbecrossed*.

My best to you and your family in this trying time gt2_gs. Remember, that in amongst all the squabbling here at :gtp: are a bunch of decent people who you can talk to any time.

I hope your Mum is able to recover from what must be very troubling symptoms for her and her family.
 
Shes ok right now.. Shes sick though. She threw up earlier today and she still had ot go to work.

Also on a side note, it was JUST my luck for me to get sick today and have to miss school. Why would i care about missing school, you ask? Because i had my auto shop test today. I missed the test. When i remembered i was severely angry -- I hope i can make it up on monday or else im screwed and ill probabbly have to drop the class.. Damnit :(

why would u have to drop a class when u missed one day :confused:
 
Because i missed the first test! Its the most important test. Its about safety in the shop. If you pass it with a good grade you become a "Team Leader" in which you have a team of people that you can command.. (like 4 ppl)... if they didnt pass the test as well as you. If you dont pass you have to just sit there and do academical work. :(
 
the way i look at it is show your teacher that u know what u are doing then he could put u on a team or something but what i would do is just tell u teach that u have been having troble at home and u should hopfully will let u do the test (sorry for the spelling but very tired) :)
 
Man - good luck with the tests on your mum. It's a tough time.

I know it's difficult but try not to focus on the 'what ifs' at this point - you'll drive yourself crazy running through what might happen if the test results come back and are bad.

When will you get the results?
