I read that they go Top Gear's 2003 Car of the Year award (though I don't know how long ago that was). I was wondering a couple of things about this car if anyone can indulge me.

1 - Is the Focus RS all-wheel drive?

2 - Is there a Cosworth version of this car?

I tried searching for "Focus RS," but the search parameters will not let me use "RS" as a searchable term - so my apologies if this is a repeat topic.

That's too bad...

On the other hand, my list of cars I want but can never have doesn't need another entry. :)

The Ford Focus RS is a 212hp front-wheel drive car. However, it employs a clever trick differential, which makes for absolutely zero understeer or torque-steer. The car is a track screamer - usually ahead of the UK-spec Impreza Turbos - but is notoriously difficult to drive on public roads.

A Ford Focus RS Cosworth has been in the works for FIVE YEARS - 300hp 4WD - but it's always coming out next spring...

SCC did an article on the RS about a month ago. . . Quite a funny little snip I must say considering that the writer and his buddy both got sick driving the car towards Californai. They were driving the car at altitudes that Britian does not have and they were wondering why the car was not impressing them. . . Finally when they got closer to sea-level the car started opening up the proper way it was supposed to :D
