Jep, a championship for UK cars only.

If this available I'll be posting more info in the weekend 👍

Already a championship like this running?

Hi PtF

As far as I know there isn't a series like this running here at GTP yet.

Would you be running GT cars (Astons, TVR's, Jaguars etc) or 'Race Spec' cars (Lister, XJ220, other cars specc'd up)?

If the former, especially if non-race tyres are used, I'd love to take part. I am a bit committed with other race series right now tho' and with Xmas coming up it may be worth your while to wait a tad anyway.

If you need a test driver, drop me a line, I'll be glad to help balance things up.

EDIT: Couldn't spurl "Glad" vurry wheel it seems :O! Plus, Famine what is meaning wid der "Scruffy" tags below? Is it a gap in my tinternet nowlidge or ast sukkomed to Northen net slang that I know nowt aboot?!

Sounds good to me.

*bags any TVR or Aston*

Count me in. :)👍

You'd have to divide it up between classes, as I'd like to run an Esprit, but there's no way that it could beat a Tuscan.

I love the way everyone is picking cars when we don't even know what cars will be used...

So if everyone else is using Tuscans, Esprits and Astons, I'll have the XJR-9. Thanks.

I think i will take a Jaguar

Like Daan said, calm down gentlemen. The poor chap hasn't even decided if there's actually going to be a series yet and people are popping up putting dibs in on cars :D.

Anyhow, I'm sure that it'll be quite clear to everyone that any hand, other than mine, that goes near the keys to the Aston Martin gets lopped off .

he sukerkin

thats cheating you know the Aston is a fast car

Polyphony F1 for me.

Hell, 70% of F1 chassisesesses are British built... :D

Mind you, that means we could also take the GT40, Shelby Cobra, Ford GT (built by Roush in the UK), Ford RS200 and the Honda Civic Type-R.

@Appie

Hi mate.

Because of the way it is very easy to misinterpret what someone means using a medium like this forum for communication, you really need to start using something in the way of proper grammar and punctuation in your posts - a few smileys here and there to show mood and intent would help also 👍.

I don't mean this in a nasty way, I'm just trying to prevent the situation arising where someone takes offence at the rather bald way you tend to express things - for example, I took your statement above as a joke related to how well I'm doing in another series using the DB9 but someone else might have very well been upset by it :).

Damn! - beat me to it

...perhaps i'll run the Prodrive built Subaru Impreza WRC in that case :sly:

I think we need some clarifications into whether its UK built or UK owned cars/manufacturers.

.....and perhaps the roughest outline of some series rules might help.
