I need a bit of help please. Will a DFGT wheel for Ps3 bought in the UK work in North America? I understand there might be voltage problems? I don't have a clue about electrical compatibilty between the 2 continents. Any help or advice will be appreciated. Thanks

You would either need an adapter or a power cord from a US DFGT as the outlets are completely different.

I've never heard of voltage issues for different regions.

Does the wheel have its own power supply, or just plug in to the PS3? If it just plugs in as a controller then it's a non-issue, isn't it?

I don't know the wheel so that's why I'm asking.

I am assuming that the US are generally a 240V outlet in homes.

UK uses 240V. Other countries in the world may only use 110V (or a strange combination/some random number inbetween it...). There is a website with the list of which country uses what voltage output, but I will have to search for that first...

Nah, we use 120V for standard electrical outlets here int he US. 240V is only used for large appliances like washing machines and dryers and such. Many electrical devices here are rated from 100V-240V though, such as laptops and many battery chargers. Usually the device will tell you it's voltage range either on the device or on the power supply itself.
