heh, i couldn't stop laughing yesterday, eurovision is so funny and the fact we received nil points makes it even funnier. virtually all the voting is political and i think this shows just how unpopular we are in europe. a great deal of this is probably thanks to mr blair too, oh well lets hope we don't elect him again!

(if anyone doesn't think its political, how was terry wogan able to predict most of the 12 point votes, and although our song was sung out of tune, austria clearly had the worst song of all and they received more than 50 points!)

what do you guys think?
 
IMHO eurovision should be put in the trashcan ...

I can't understand at all how Belgium could even have come so close to winning?! I mean, our song was really bad ...

... but wait, didn't all of the songs suck?!!?

Any one who has seen the show (or heard the songs in anyway) will most likely agree with me. I can only noticed that the standard has gone down a lot. They are going to organise it differently next year so hopefully that will improve it a bit!

Back on topic : Kinda did surprise me that the UK didn't get n e points. I certainly didn't expect it to win but politics might have helped a bit to keep it down. Lets say they diserved 20th place and came in 26th (= last with 0 points).

yeah i totally agree, though it is a form of light entertainment so i wouldn't scrap it. don't forget its thanks to eurovision that abba became big, they performed for sweden twice (lost the first time heh, probably due to political voting again)

i didn't think the belgium song was that bad but i didn't expect them to come in the top 10, let alone top 5 :D
 
I didn't like the UK song...it was very off tune, but i think every song should still get at least one point...
 
The British song was rubbish. I thought that the Austrian performer was great!

Yeah, but he was funny! The rest of them were just bad.
 
Has anyone seen the Tetley advert thats having a dig at the eurovision song contest? I's hilarious and i can't get that song out of my head!
