Bit of background for those who don't know us:
UKOG as an online racing club have been in existence 2006, we have run and organised league racing and social events since we started with ToCA Race Driver 2, through the transition to PS3 & XBox 360 with Ferrari Challenge, The Forza series' from 2-4 as well as GT5, F1 2010/11/12 and Race Pro.
On top of the online racing as a club, we have formed many life long friendships and organise meetup weekend events across the UK at Motorsport events such as World series by Renault and BTCC at venues such as Oulton Park, Donnington, Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Thruxton.
Highlights for us in the past were recognition by companies such as Codemasters, SimBin, Fanatec, and GamePOD.
In the past our members have been invited to Codies HQ to play and preview games such as ToCA Race Driver 3, GRiD & DiRT, in some cases months before they were released.
I was recruited to Beta test and review Fanatecs PWTS, PWGT2 and CSR-Elite along with another of our members.
3 of our members were asked to trial & review GamePOD racing seats and we had some great success with a GamePOD endorsed championship where a £500 seat was 1st prize.
As well as a SimBin endorsed RacePro championship where copies of the game were provided as prizes.
Over the last year-18months we have been rather quiet on the online racing front while all our administrators have had major life changing events in our lives that have required our full attention.
But with the onset of GT6 and it's potential for great league racing in this game we are coming back!
Obviously while we went quiet sorting our real lives out some members have drifted away, but we still have a hardcore of gamers and clean racers who all share the passion, and it'd be great to get the good times rolling again with more like minded clean racing motorsport fans like us.
We are currently recruiting new members who share our passion for clean fair online racing for a new Scirrocco Championship which starts in March.
So, if you like your racing clean, you like a friendly community with longevity & you're up for an online racing experience that is more than just a flash-in-the-pan-clan ... look us up.
