So, lets hypothesise which 5-10 dinner guests you would love to have at your dream dinner party. The nominees can be dead or alive, all you need to do is justify why you want the particular guests there.

Mine:

Einstein, Steven Hawking, Pete Conrad and Edwin Hubble to discuss science, the Universe and astronomical theories.

Paul McCartney, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep to discuss movies and entertainment.

Schumacher, Fangio and Murray Walker to discuss Motor Racing.

JFK - I'd like to meet him and see what the hype was all about.

Al Pacino - He's The Godfather!

Mickey Mantle - he was my father's favorite baseball player while growing up and I'd love to meet him

Michael Jordan - best basketball player ever

Bill Gates - just so I could hassle him into giving me money

Jeremy McGrath - The King of Supercross. He's always been my favorite motocross rider and he seems like such a cool guy.

Jennifer Garner - she's pppeerrrtttyyy :p

Keiichi Tsuchiya - What can I say? I'm a drifting fan. (we'll just assume I magically learn to speak Japanese...or have a translator on hand)

Hitler - so I could stab him in the face with a kitchen knife

-Mark

Someone apparently didn't stay awake in history class. Then again, you probably didn't get much on the United States history while growing up in Australia.

Before you open your mouth like this again, I suggest you study a bit. Research "the Cuban Missile Crisis" and see what turns up on JFK.

As for my guest list, I'd like to meet Frank Lloyd Wright, Abraham Lincoln, John Hancock, my grandfather and Uncle (both died before I was born), Brad Pitt, Amelia Earhart, Buzz Aldrin, and Clint Eastwood.

[edit]I'd also have to add Alexander the Great, Ron Jeremy, and Vince McMahon.[/edit]

10 people

mark webber, alex tagliani, marcos ambrose, paul tracy, michael schumacher - to talk motorsport

Darren lockyer - to talk football

Steve Waugh - true cricketing legend

Tony Hawk - just awesome

Nick galati - my best friend, someone to talk to in case this dinner turns shocking

If I had a dinner party I would like some good entertainment, so I have chosen the following:

Steve Martin
Chevy Chase
Dan Akroyd
John Candy
Peter Sellers
Jim Carrey
Eddie Murphy
Adam Sandler

For my guests...

-Enzo Ferrari (to talk cars)
-Henry Ford (his ideas chnaged the world, and he made great cars to boot)
-Manfred von Richthofen (aka the Red Baron, one of the greatest fighter pilots ever)
-Billy Bishop (the greatest Canadian pilot ever)
-Jimi Hendrix (to see what he thinks about modern music)
-Adolf Hitler (just to try and see what made the guy tick)
-Winston Churchill (to discuss politics)
-Clint Eastwood (greatest movie tough guy ever)
-My Great Uncle (he just died recently, and just after that my mom informed me about the life he led, and I would like to get a chance to talk to him about his experiences)

Some of the guests I chose purposely to see if an argument would break out :p I think you can guess which ones...

These would be my dinner guests:

Tony Hawk- he is the best skateboarder and has had a very interesting life.

Darrell Waltrip- for entertainment and humor, former NASCAR Cup series driver.

Ewan McGregor- so he can tell me some things about Star Wars: Episode III.

JFK
Honest Abe
Einstein
Ben Franklin
George Washington

To talk music? They barely know how to play their damn "music."

Ok, not really, but I know people who are better on the gitbox than them, and I could kick their drummer's ass on one of my bad days.
