Ok, I have yet to seen a EVO here in the states..

But the other day, I saw red EVO 5 on the road!
I nearly ****ted in my pants because, common..its a EVO !
and it was also right hand drive!

I was thinkin, naaaaaah it had to be a mirage with the evo bodykit..but I couldnt trace any mirage contents..all evo all the time..

We always get 3's driving around here, although there was an Asian family whose son had a 6 that would always come screaming up the street and when he downchanged there would be a huge flame come out of the exhaust, I nearly pissed myslef when I was walking down to the dairy once, them backfires are loud.

i've seen a few EVOs, an Escort Cosworth and a few WRX STi's...

of course, they were rally cars, but they're road legal no matter what!

Canada isn't too far outside the US... we don't get much more than you guys do, infact we get less. No Toyota MR2 Spyder on our shores...

There are a fair few EVO 3/4/5 blasting around my general area of london. Countless WRX`s as well.

The sad thing is the Escort Cossie is getting rarer and rarer, I hardly see any of them any more. Although there is one that is kitted in full WRC livery, I looked inside and it even had a rollcage  shame Ive only seen it parked though.

Well you guys live outside of the US...

Its almost like we get the left overs, in car terms.
That's because many domestic cars in the US are half-baked, at best.

But you can certify an "import" car for use on US roads, if you have a LOT of money (or crash-testing spare cars). There are other ways to certify an Evo in the US (racetrack-only; drive for 364 days, then export, etc.) but it's usually not worth the hassle.

Get a pic if you can, but this thread ought to go in the Automotive forum next time.

Well genuine Evo's are pretty rare here. Most are just Lancers with body kits, a geniune one has 'Evolution X' on the sideskirts...

I've heard of a company that'll bring an R34 to the states here for $90k. :)

No Lada Samaras on our shores... (do they still sell Ladas in Canada?)

Yes they do although people in Russia buy them in Canada then have them shipped across, strangely...that is actually cheaper than buying one in Russia??????

Sorry to resurrect this thread but, today I saw perhaps one of the coolest cars on the way to bluewater. A red ford GT40. But I can never know if it was real or a rep however it is the coolest car ive spotted on the road... so far..

So why call up an ancient thread about EVOs instead of the "What Have You Seen Today" thread?
