On friday the 19th a free GIS style video is released. It seems to be good quality both picture+sound as the case not has been in the last gis movies.

It is said to be 4 cars but I can only see three in the teaser, Suby wrx, Supra IV and a M3.

Teaser, 8mb:

The full length video will be 23 mins and I'll be posting links here as soon as I get them. :)

Is it like Getaway in sthlm just shorter?

Sortof. But the big difference is that it's made without profit interests. Dunno bout the police chases though. They have been crappy anyhow in the last 3 gis movies.

Hope the movie holds the promises made by the teaser.

In GiS 4 had a Police car chasing them nearly the whole way through. Shame the poor bugger couldn't keep up. The C5 and NSX kept going around the same round-a-bout just to let the Police car catch up.

ya and didn't the c5 do a huge burnout right when the cop was there?

Are these films downloadable elsewhere (the previous versions, as well as Getaway)?
If not, where are such films purchased? I have seen the Mischief 3000 and thought it to be ok, but not what I desire in a law-breaking film.

Gis is copyrighted and I think there isn't a series w ultimate run videos, this is the first one. Searched a bit but could only find them on swedish sites for ordering.

From what I understand the second gis movie is still the best, most action packed in the series. Wan't some crazy law-breaking? then check out Ghostrider - The Final Ride. Only MC.

The GiS series is available from the official site (http://www.getawayinstockholm.com) and the DVD's are Region 0 so thats good. GiS 5 has come out now containing an RX7 and another friend apparently, hope that's a good one. But like GTJugend said the 2nd one is the best out of 1,2,3 and 4 because the Escort was so crazy, phwoar, I just love how its taking those 90 degree street corners. Hopefully I can be bothered to get GiS 5 soon and swoon at it's greatness.....hopefully.

Well, I'm not a huge crotch rocket fan, so Ghost Rider isn't really all that interesting to me. Although I found the weaving through highway traffic funny.

Thanks for the link, eddie.

I found the weaving through the traffic absolutely insane! How fast?!?!

I reckon in GiS 2 the cars were frequently hitting 110+mph through the busy, inner roads then on the motorway the Supra's speedo maxed out at 180mph so we'll never know how fast it really went. But i'm sure that Escort was regulary putting his life in danger, some of those corners were crazy.

The speedo goes between 200-299 (display limit) kph and those scenes are part of a run where he drives about a 70 km distance in 15 mins, avg speed is just below 280 kph.

The first 4 minutes are quite heavy trafficed and exciting. The rest is mostly flatout with less traffic. That particular clip caused quite a heavy debate here on harder sentences for behavior like that. I'm not surprised..

That teaser looks really interesting, I have seen some of Sundis previous clips and they are usually great! :dopey:

The quality seems really good for a free movie. Makes me look forward even more to friday.

Regarding the GiS movies I think those guys are really pushing their luck, if they keep doing their run every year sooner or later they are going to hit something or even worse someone.

GTJugend, do you hang out at Zatzy.com to?

GTJugend, do you hang out at Zatzy.com to?

Of course. :D I pop into the cargaming forum once in a while. Username TF, and you are who at Zatzy?

skolm, there are more preview clips available?

I haven't registered at Zatzy yet. Maybe I should, I find myself visiting there quite often.

I don't think there are more trailers for Ultimate Run but you can check out some more car clips by the same guy at www.speedlife.se

Yes, the speedlife site, had forgot about that. Pretty good quality on the movies. If any of you other guys visit there, go to Filmer to get to the movies section.

That's it? A really bad song and some cars driving at night?

Woo.

After watching the full movie I have to agree with you. It was sortof boring. Some semi-fast highway driving, a few donuts, burnouts and that's it. Anyway, here are links to it:

I agree with you guys, it quickly got boring.

The cars were cool to see in action though.

I guess this marks the end of the motoring season here in cold old Sweden.

I just recieved my GiS 5 DVD and i'm afraid to say that the actual Getaway run ,with the RX7 and another car that you don't see, wasn't that eventful. The run was done in the dark which meant there was little traffic and the whole thing seemed bland compared with some of the previous ones. Nevertheless it did have a lot of great extra footage of some great, crazy and georgous cars. If you like RX7's and like watching good quality BMWs, Porsches and Volvos then this DVD is a good buy.

Anyone knows where to get Ghost Rider?

I like the Hayabusa Turbo 1 the best 👍(mines the trailer only :nervous: )
Imagine wheelies at 300kph!!

I just went to http://speedlife.se/index_eng.htm clicked on movies and clicked on the first link for the ultimate run 04. I was impressed by the amount of cars in this video. They all looked very nice. But it did seem a little boring (probably because we weren't in the cars). I like how there were cameras for each car. In order to capture the speed of these cars there has to be a good camera on the front bumper or somewhere in front of the car to show the street moving fast. Car videos with in car cameras always seem like they're moving slow, at least for me. But it was still a great video and I hope there's more in the future. 👍

ghost rider dvds can be baught from the official site i think.

Sorry to sound like an idiot, but I'm new to these Getaway in Stockholm videos...Those are actual guys running from real cops, or is it staged? They're cool videos, nonetheless.
