Ummm......manual transmission?

This may sound like a stupid question but is there full MT in S2? Although I have configured the settings to my own preference and have selected Pro on handling difficulty (Medium CPU difficulty) the computer seems to insist on shifting gear when it sees fit. So even though I can manually change gear, if I were to leave the gears and slow down or speed up, the computer will anticipate and do it for me.
Is there any way to use full MT in the game?

you mean strictly downshifting and slowing down with out braking? you are able to do that. in fact i think it's one of the things this game got right. you can actually hear the clutch engaging and what not. hope this answered your question.
 
I had this problem on the GT-R race at the start. After the evaluation it recommends the settings, but forced AT on me. After that I could change it back to MT.
 
For anyone like myself, when changing your settings to manual, remember to save your settings. I didn't see the save button at the bottom and 3 times I would change it to manual and go into a race to only have it still be auto. My fault of course but just a reminder for anyone else who might have overlooked....
