There are several things you can do to quell understeer. Without modifications, simply hit the brakes lightly, or let off the throttle. If you want to fix the understeer tendencies, try lowering the front of the car as much as possible and raising the ride height of the rear suspension. Better tires helps. A variable center differential can help too because it allows you to manually distribute the torque between the front and rear wheels. In that case, you would want more power going to the rear wheels. Slight "toe-out" decreases understeer as well.

Its going to suffer understeer unless you murder teh suspension settings. Trust me, I tried. You will have to adjust your driving style to some degree. Trail braking, smoother gas, slightly different apex.

If you want, you could increase the rear stablizer, increase the intial torque for the rear, increase the spring rates. But mostly, you should just work it out with driving style, or the Vitz race will kill you :p
