Some time ago I was doing the 15AE seasonal around Apricot Hill in my Megane Trophy V6 15th Anniversary Edition.
I was having a blast, but noticed that after about the second lap, my lap times started to get worse, while they should have gotten better with the tires heating up.
I had this happen a few times and noticed that my best times were always the first or second lap after a restart and then they would get worse (my all-round best time was on a second lap after restart).

I looked at my tires and saw that the front right tire heated up a lot quicker than the rest. The unevenness in grip of the tires would then result in my car feeling unbalanced and me not getting near my old times.
I wonder if anyone has had a similar situation or could shed some light on the realism of this and how to handle it (instead of restarting each time).

Don't hammer your front right tyre... once they're overheated the problem compounds itself and the resulting loss of grip results in more overheating, resulting in more loss of grip. The Megane is a bugger for mashing its front tyres anyway, it really is.

I've had this issue too with many cars. I've noticed that if you turn the wheel more than 90 degrees with any car, especially FR cars that the front tyres go red and leave rubber on the track which is completely stupid. When racing online with tyre wear it destroys your tyres far quicker than they need to be and all because of what reason? "Improved tyre models" yeah right. Just like "Improved Physics" where you can roll cars over when hitting a rumble strip and "Improved rendering engine" that has terrible draw distance and popping of scenery, distant cars and shadows... Anyone feel like we're beta testing GT7?
