Here's a wry thought prevoking video that just popped into my subscription box that I think is worthy of doscussion:

When did video game companies start producing unfinished games? When was this allowed? When we buy a new game from the shelf, it shouldn't be broken, unfinished, etc etc. It shouldn't be broken. We shouldn't be hoping it won't be worse than the last game. We shouldn't hope for patches that fix MAJOR problems. These things should be fixed MONTHS before release. What are thoughts on how the game industry is going.

Just look back at the past few years with the games being unfinished. It's mostly what they want and what they can show. Gives hype = more profit. Then update after release saying they have some "minor" issues and just update.

They are unfinished because idiots pay money for it. I mean they pre order games when never actually seen it and play it. That's stupid! That's why games came out with bugs and glitches because developers know you don't really care, because you already pay for it. Committed to buy despite the fact it's going to be have issues.

And then when developer know how many gamers pay for pre order they don't bother with testing and removing bugs.
