Does it bother anyone that you can't remove the parts you no longer want after tuning? I understand that some should be permanently there, but I'd like to be able to put the extra exhaust, tranny, or the sport suspension on the shelf for later use.
Plus, does anybody know if you get anything additional when you sell a car with excess parts?

You don't get any extra when selling a modded car, pretty much lose all the money you put into it.

As for uninstalling parts I'm pretty sure you can select which parts you want to use for any given race. Say you have all three exhausts installed on a car, I think if you go into settings on the race screen you can go to exhaust and select the one you want to run with. The newest one installed is the default but I'm almost positive you can switch at any time (except during the race of course). If you're talking about taking off parts and using it for a different car, you can't.

I think you're right, there are checkboxes in the tuning section that select the newest part installed, but if you scroll over your cursor pauses on the checkbox, I assume you can turn off upgrades. Would be nice if you could sell them back though.

Yup!

If there's a power limit on a race (say 500bhp) and you want to run your 700bhp Ferrari then you'll be able to 'load' the car but will be barred from taking to the track.

When you go to "Setup" you'll see the Power Requirement for the race - it'll be bright red if your car is overpowered. You can swap/alter owned parts on the car until you meet that power requirement.

That's pretty much how I figured it would have to be done.. Sometimes I'd like to just max out a car just to see what it will do, but if I didn't want to keep all the parts, or was just going to dump the car, it would be nice to get a least a little bit for them.

A weird thing I noticed was when I removed a wing in the oil change section and tried to put it back on i had to buy it again.

Strange! Maybe it will appear in the Items list below the GT Life/Community buttons?

Nope..It's not in the items.Unless I screwed up somehow I'm pretty sure you have to buy it again if you take it off.I guess PD figured you throw it away.lol

Bad news :(

I wonder if they'll add a patch that allows you to go through the dustbins outside other peoples' garages?
