Saturday's at 15:00 GMT

This is the United Proto-GT Championship, which is based upon the United Sportscar Championship represented in the USA, where LMP2-spec cars go head-to-head with the added challenge of GT2-spec cars going head-to-head on the same circuit at the same time. So this is essentially a multi-class championship.
There will be two classes; Prototype (P) and Grand Touring (GT) and there will be a maximum of six cars in each class at a race event, bringing the total grid up to twelve.

USC-rules.png

A basic racing etiquette is strictly required before entering this series. This is because we will not allow drivers who believe it is acceptable to perform unjust actions against other drivers or officials on and off the circuit.

TRACK LIMITS

Track limits are very important during any session of racing. The white lines represents the official racing ground of circuit. Every driver that is part of the UPGC must coincide to the track limits. If a driver exceeds track limits they must provide a valid reason for doing so - for example: avoiding an incident that covers most of the race track. If a driver does not provide a valid reason, they will be dealt with by the appropriate manner within the rules.

CONTACT

As most racing drivers will say "rubbin's racin'" which is deemed as acceptable racing conditions. Paint trading is acceptable under race conditions as long as an incident does not occur when doing so. If there is a bump from a driver to another which causes the victim to obtain damage then the driver responsible will have to see the stewards.

BEING LAPPED

Being lapped will be a very common fashion in this series, as the P cars will be lapping GT cars. It is important for GT drivers to not cause any mishaps between themselves or other GT drivers and the P drivers as they are overtaking them. The rules will state that GT drivers are to hold their line and P drivers have to find their way around.

P drivers - do not get overly aggressive as the car in front of you will not have as much performance to sustain control if you force your way past. If you cause an incident in this fashion, you will be dealt with by the stewards. You are opted by the stewards to find your way around the GT cars safely.

GT drivers - do not get defensive when a P car approaches, you are not racing them. They are much faster than you, but you are allowed to hold your line through a corner and the P cars will find a way around you, you may wish to move over if you do not want the pressure of a faster car finding their way past you. If you do cause an incident where you have gone to defend and the P car has suffered a mishap like banging the wall or spinning - as they will be approaching very quickly - you will be dealt with by the stewards.

TYRES

Tyre rules will be in place in the USC, meaning that drivers can only use certain compounds for different sessions. Any driver to use the wrong compound will have their time disallowed and they’ll be excluded from that session’s results, but they are allowed to re-do their session (only if it is Pre-Qualifying).

  • Pre-Qualifying (both sessions, both classes) - Racing Hards.
  • Qualifying sessions 1 & 2 (P [session 1] and GT [session 2]) - Racing Hards.
  • Qualifying sessions 3 & 4 (P [session 3] and GT [session 4]) - Racing Softs.
However, you are allowed to use any tyre compound in practice.

In the race, each driver must use at least one set of each compound (Soft and Hard).

Any driver using Racing Mediums will be excluded from any session they use them in.

USC-info.png

There are some important factors, or information, about USC. First of all, there will be a maximum of 12 drivers at any race during the season, with 6 in P class and 6 in GT class. This leaves 4 spaces open in the rooms, which will be vacated by:

  • Race director - @1996mikey2412

  • Race steward - VACANT, VACANT

  • Safety Car driver - VACANT
USC-PENSYS.png

The USC holds a penalty system in place to deal with drivers breaking rules in an appropriate manner. The drivers will hold ‘licence-like’ cards, which are automatic when signing up, which can have points added on to it.

GETTING POINTS

There are plenty of ways to receive points on your card.

  • Excessive bad language - 2 points - slight language is acceptable as there is no one that does not use it, stereotypically.
  • Being told about track limits more than once - 2 points.
  • Being AWOL with contact - 2 points.
  • Causing an unavoidable accident - 2 points
  • Being aggressive to other people inside or outside the room - 3 points.
  • Being AWOL without contact - 5 points.
  • Being aggressive on circuit - 5 points.
  • Causing an avoidable accident - 5 points.
  • Excessive and extensively breaking rules - 8 points.
  • Intentionally bullying another driver on circuit - 8 points.
  • Causing an intentional accident - 10 points.
  • Verbal abuse against others - 20 points.
PENALTY SYSTEM

The points you receive will then be conducted into the Penalty System, of which a certain amount of points gained will find you a form of punishment.

  • Earn 8 points - exclusion from next round’s Qualifying although you are allowed to attend and drive. Just your time will not be allowed.
  • Earn 12 points - one-round ban, which has to be served within the next two events.
  • Earn 16 points - season ban, you will not be permitted to attend another qualifying session or race session for the rest of the season, and you will be placed on the reserves list for the next season.
  • Earn 20 points - series ban. If you manage to accumulate this many points, you are certainly not welcome by the USC Management or most likely most drivers on the grid.
