Couldn't find the name to this little convertable gem so anyone here know what it is? I really like it, hell it's so good I'd drive one.

It's a one off by a company named ASC which is in Auburn Hills Michigan. But it's base is a Grand Viatra.

Reminds me of the Axiom XSR:

And the VX 02:

It's too bad the base Vitara isn't as cool as the base Axiom and VehiCROSS were.

It's not the first convertable truck. Remember the Dodge Dakota Convert?

It is only meant to spark interest in an allready available product. The Grand Vitara/Escudo has not been well-recieved in the US, as the rumor has been that Suzuki as well as Isuzu may be on the way out in the US very soon.

Gah the Dakota convertable was one of the worst ideas in the world. The only people who actually have want a convertable truck are the mini truckers who do it themselves and are stuck in the 1980's.

Dude, seriously this thing is sweet! I love it, I'd love to have one. What is it's actual name? Or does it even have a name?

No way. It was a great truck, and was meant to compete with the sport trucks of its day and to a lesser extent the Bronco II, Blazer, etc. who all had removable tops. They make great off road trucks with their available 4x4, and with no top, they're great to drive around in for the summer.

...And you never had to worry about getting trapped in your truck while it sank to the bottom of the canal as you were backing your boat in. ;)

That thing is really sweet! - i bet it looks great with the top down, the headlights look like they'd certainly brighten things up at night. I bet it likes things rough, i'd certainly take it for a ride, etc, etc...

- don't think much of that white car behind it though! :sly:

The funny thing is she knew I was taking a picture of her and not the car.

I was gonna say, does she come with it. I rate the photograph more than the car, put it that way.

She's checking her watch - you must have made her nervous Joey

Not quite the same, and definately not as cool, but in the same general vein as
