There was something that always bugged me about the Manufacturer Series. It never had a legit Manufacturer leaderboard. It was only ever a driver leaderboard, and the winning manufacturer was just the manufacturer the top driver happened to use regardless of how well anyone else did.

I've compiled some data and have put together an unofficial Manufacturer Team Leaderboard, similar to what you'd see in say, F1.

Qualification Criteria:

1. Each manufacturers Top 3 finalists points will be counted towards the season's Regional Totals.

2. A Manufacturer Team's Top 3 finalists must be in their respective region's Top 100 overall.

3. The points of all competitors who do not appear in the regions Top 100 will be scored as 0.

4. Once Team Regional Totals are confirmed, all of the respective Manufacturer Team's Regional Totals are combined to determine Global Totals.

Manufacturer Teams Leaderboards:

For some reason the tables always start shifted to the right and not all is visible, just scroll left to see everything.

You'll see the tabs at the bottom of your browser, Global and Regional Totals, click to view the leaderboards.

OP:

Is there somewhere I can view the Manufacturer Series Standings for all regions? I am trying to compile a "Real" manufacturer standings by adding the top finishers points together for all manufacturers. The problem is I only know how to view the top 100 on the GTS app and not all manufacturers have all 3 in the top 100 and some don't have any. And of course I only have access to the Canada/US region, it be nice to do this for all regions.

If the top 100 is all I'd be able to see, I will just add the points I can. So if a manufacturer only has 1 driver in the top 100, well I guess they won't be placing very high. And if they don't have any the they will just be a DNP(did not place).

If there is no way for me to view the standings myself, I'd need the communities help. Shoot me your PSN if your are in South America, Asia or Oceania. I have NA and EMEA now.

I'll post the results on the forum if I am able to get all the info I need. And if I get good feedback I'll continue to do so for future seasons.

Also let me know what you'd rather see as the "Real" manu Standings in the poll above.

Below is a teaser I did for the NA region based on the info I have access to.

Order sorted by 1st place winner for each Manufacturer(current status quo):

Order sorted by combined Top 3 finishers:

You can see how much things change and manufacturer move up and down the order. Take Citroen for example, they only had one driver in the top 100, so they go from 5th overall all the way down to 16th.

Not like this means anything it's just a bit more fun.

UPDATE: I am able to access the top 100 in the EMEA region by logging out of the GTS app. It uploads EMEA standings by default.

So just South America, Asia, and Oceania to go!

UPDATE 2.0:

After logging out I realized the GTS app doesn't ask for any passwords, it just needs a PSN and it loads there profile, therefore I dont need screen shot just send me your PSN if your in South America, Asia, or Oceania

Thanks!

Would love to see an overall standings table put together man, good idea 👍 The data would be handy for manufacturer selection next time around (unless you're forever loyal to your brand like myself lol.) I'd offer my input but I think you have access to the same info that I have lol.
Regional tables and a global tally would be nice. The more specific the better...
Top 100 from each region should do the trick though. Just need a little help from our friends abroad.

(unless you're forever loyal to your brand like myself lol.)

See you at VW next season then. I was there last season but only did 3 races as my focus was on Nations. I'm switching my focus to Manu now as the time slots work better and I just plain prefer the format of driving the same 2 cars all season. Looking to try and crack the top 10, I got 21st only doing 3 races, only one of which I practiced for the other 2 I just jumped right into after a Nations race without any practice and did poorly.

That's why I want to do this unofficial Manu standings as I don't really like how PD does it by just counting the overall winner, it really should be more of a team thing. Ideally it would be nice if PD counted the top 10 of each manufacturer for manufacturer points and had separated driver an manu standings like we'd see in any FIA racing league like F1 or the WRC

Sorry for DP.

Instead of redoing my whole first post I will just say:

I have found out a way to access all the top 100. The GTS app does not require passwords to "login" to someones PSN to view their profile and all that entails with it. If you haven't used the app, there is no way for me to change anything to do with your profile so I don't see an issue with logging in to someone else's as it's a standard feature of the app.

I'll grab a South American PSN from the daily race top 100 and check the World Finals on YouTube for Asian and Oceania PSNs.

The question remains if there is a way to view more than the top 100 though. But in the end I'm sure the top 100 will suffice.

I've also closed the poll as I was able to do top 3 in NA pretty quickly so it won;t be a hassle to do top 3 for each region and have 5 separate regional standings and then combine all regional totals for a global leaderboard.

Nice! I don't get why it should be so hard to see standings in other regions to begin with but glad to hear that you found a workaround. I'm assuming this would allow us to see every daily race leaderboard which is great.

Good find

I'm not sure what's available on the App. as I haven't used it.
But if I understand what you are looking for correctly, you can probably get all of the info. you need from the official gran turismo website.
https://www.gran-turismo.com/au/
The flag top right hand corner will allow you to select any country you like.
From there it's - GT Sport > Sport Mode > Manufacturer Series > View All

And you'll find this:
Oceania
https://www.gran-turismo.com/au/gtsport/sportmode/championship/1478/rankings
Asia
https://www.gran-turismo.com/hk/gtsport/sportmode/championship/1473/rankings
EMEA
https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gtsport/sportmode/championship/1484/rankings
NA
https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gtsport/sportmode/championship/1480/rankings
SA
https://www.gran-turismo.com/br/gtsport/sportmode/championship/1482/rankings

You can sort by Manufacturer and select which brand to view. 👍

Thanks @Tassie_tiger ! I may end up using that for future leaderboards so all Top 3 Finalists points will count.

Does anyone know how to delete a poll or is it there forever?
Yeh, I'm not sure how that looks on a mobile phone, but it's nice and clear on a PC.
Could be an easier way for you to collect data.

Interesting project. 👍

2019 GT World Tour Paris Manufacturer Series:

Congratulations to Aston Martin on winning the Paris Event.

Standings from the event:
1. Aston Martin
2. Nissan
3. Porsche
4. BMW
5. Toyota
6. Mitsubishi
7. Mercedes-Benz
8. Lexus
9. Subaru
10.Renault
11.Honda
12.Chevrolet

It's interesting to compare the Event finals vs that of my unofficial standings from the last exhibition series.

For starters it seems the list on attending Manufacturers is pretty fair. I'm not sure how the manufacturers were chosen but if my memory serves me well, I think it's the same group from last year. I assume they were chosen based on 2018 Final Season results.

The top dogs like BMW, Porsche, Lexus, Mercedes, Chevy and Nissan are solid choices as they always tend to place well and are often popular choices among the games top drivers each season.

The fact our eventual winner, Aston Martin finished mid pack in the exhibition series and Mitsubishi finished last goes to show that the best drivers can make any of these machines competitive over a short event like this. Mitsubishi had a respectable finish and of course Aston Martin goes without saying.

A notable omission was Volkswagen, I do remember them being in last seasons live events and except for being unsuccessful in the EMEA region they finished a respectable 7th place globally, higher than any manu that did not attend the event.

As it appears, according to the GT Sport Website, the next 4 "stages" of the FIA Nations Cup will count for qualifying for the 2019 World Finals, we still have no updates on the Manufacturers Series.

It will be interesting to see how all this plays out in the future. Stay tuned for news and analysis of the upcoming Manufacturers Series events.
