Unplugging the hdmi cable during a race.

I am currently on the 12th hour of the bspec 24hour enduro.I am staying at my mothers for the holiday and she wants to rearrange her furniture while i am here.The tv is one of things she wants to move.my question is if i unplug the hdmi from the back of the tv,will the race keep going as long as i have power to the system?
 
yes it should keep going.. the HDMI cable is not essential for your PS3 to run in the background.. as soon as you plug in the cable again you should see it's still working
