Unreleased Version of GTHD?

I have never even seen this version before...according to the description it is a beta for what was going to be GTHDremium.

Is it just me or is the track much thinner than it ended up being in the final game as well?

Not only thinner, but also a different layout, the straight towards the turn before the bridge, and S bends after and before the tunnel.

Well spotted, Eiger Path much more similiar to Eiger Nordwand than Eiger Path.
