As the chances of 'old' racing wheels being supported in GT Sport are becoming highly unlikely, I thought it would be a good idea to create a detailed video about the Cronusmax Plus V3. Especially since I'm probably one of only few to have both Beta access and a Cronusmax.

I have been using the Cronusmax Plus for little over a month now, mostly in combination with my Fanatec CSR Elite. But, as the Logitech G27 is a much more commonly used racing wheel I decided to make a video about that first. Setting up other types of Logitech wheels, for example a G25 or DFGT, will work the same way as I show in the video.

I will be making another video about setting up the Cronusmax for Fanatec wheels, as the steps required are a bit different. However, the end result is the same: they work just as well. When it's done I'll update this post.

Now, priced at around $60-$70 these things aren't exactly cheap. Still, in my opinion it's a great alternative to buying a new wheel... Especially since racing-wise there's nothing different about these older wheels.

Anyway, I hope this was helpful. :)

If it works well I will definitely get it. I have a Logitech G920, that I use on Xbox One of course.

Hi Drivers
Thanks for the Thread
I am using the cronusMax Plus with the latest firmware
together with a fanatec whelbase Club Sport V2..
It works with GTSport as before with GT6, I was so happy at beginning.
BUT then .. always after 8-10 Minutes the cronus disconnects the Wheel,
I can Teen easily reconnect By pressing the PS4-button.. as you can
immagine.. No chance to Drive that way ...
I have tried with a ps4 and a ps4pro, connecting the cronus directly to the
USB, or connected to a USB-hub (3 Different ones, USB2).. Same result..
At Preisent i Really dont know what else i shall try..
Has somebody an idea, a help, Suggestion, whatever..
Would be very apprceciated. Many thanks
Have a nice evening!

@vocalizer Great Video für the g29.. do i Need also a 2nd Controller if i use
the fanatec?

Look on the Cronusmax forums, there is a fix for the 10min disconnect issue. I'll try and find it later for you.

Fanatec CSW v2 and v3 inverted pedals using GIMX here. Nice option if you have a PC, parts around $30.

Here are the instructions I promised you. http://cronusmax.com/manual/racing_wheel_connecting_to_ps4.htm?ms=QQAAAAAAIBA=&st=MA==&sct=MA==&mw=MzIw

I've got the same setup as you and this works perfectly for me. Any questions just ask.

Yes, you do. If you have a Cronusmax you will always need an extra PS4 controller. It's used to trick the PS4 into thinking your wheel is a real officially supported PS4 wheel.

Been using my Fanatec CSW v2 with Cronusmax since getting the beta and it has been great so far.

I was using the cronusmax as well until today that I switch to GIMX, and if you get a chance try the GIMX software you won't believe the difference in FFB in the two.

I also have the Fanatec CSW V2, CS pedals v3 and CS shifter and they are all working beautifully in GT Sport, the only thing I can't get to work is the lights in my Formula rim at all, in the cronusmax they did work for the shifter lights, but since I get a lot better FFB is a good trade.

Thank you vocalizer and PzR for your Kind assistance. Now it works Fine with the cronusmax.
Not all buttons available, but i can live easily with that.
Ok, Voc i will Check GIMX too as soon i find time

I'm also using the CrawdadMax+ with my Fanatec V2, and it's really very good.

Yes, it's another couple cables, a bit fiddly, but the actual function and meaningful FF is great.
I am missing function of my H-shifter & hand brake with the Crawdad, though, so I must reconnect my wheel
directly to the PS4 to play DiRT Rally. The time between the release of DiRT4 and the release of Fanatec's new
wheelbase is going to feel like an eternity without my hand brake.

All in all, it was cheap, and it 'gets the job done' .... thanx, Chronus
