Niiice.

Being released a few days before the Austrian GP is obviously no coincidence :p

I haven't had something decent with the A1 ring in it for years. The GT6 version is awesome :)

-Two derivatives of RBR Ring
-TS030, RJN, ISF CCS-R, VW Vision GT Roadster
-VW Vision GT special outfit
-I figure at least one new seasonal, one being to acquire the VW?

Looks like you can't up the power level of the TS030 with a turbocharger like all the others :( I hope they fix/change that.

Update Details (1.09)
GT6 Update Info
Vision Gran Turismo
The “Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo” has been released. Experience the dynamic all wheel drive supercar that inherits the DNA of the Volkswagen sports GTI philosophy.

After the update has been installed, the car can be purchased from the [Vision GT] option within the [CARS] section in "My Home". Alternatively, it is also possible to obtain the car by completing a lap (regardless of the lap time) in the new Seasonal Event, available only for a limited time.

The “Volkswagen Vision GT” racing gear has been added to the [Special Outfit] of [Racing Gear]. This can also be acquired through the limited time seasonal event.

Red Bull Ring
The full course and short track layouts of the Red Bull Ring has been added as new tracks to the game.

This is an ultra high speed circuit with long flat out sections, but there are tricky tight corners in between. How you handle these tight turns will greatly affect your final lap times. In 2014, Formula 1 racing returned to this track after an 11 year hiatus; the circuit truly brings together the best of the old and the new.

Additional Cars:
The following cars have been added to the [Dealerships]. You can also access the cars easily from the [Recommended Cars] section:
- GT-R NISMO GT3 Nissan GT Academy Team RJN ‘13
- Lexus IS F CCS-R ‘11
- Toyota TS030 Hybrid ‘12

Update of the Physics Simulation Model
The physics simulation model of “Gran Turismo 6” has been updated. Its main improvements are as follows:
(1) Dynamics of the car on surfaces with cornerstones and bumps
(2) Effect of tire geometry changes (mainly the Camber Angle)
(3) Controllability of some rear heavy cars

The default settings of tuning parts have also been adjusted to match this update.

Adjustments to cars:
On the various Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X models, the [Active Steering] in [Driving Options] is now enabled.

Additional Offline Features and Adjustment
- [Datalogger] can now be called out from the Quick Menu of Time Trial events. However, please note that some of the features will be limited when used in this manner. Please refer to the online manual for more details.

- A [Reset to Default] option that returns car settings to their initial state has been added.

Start signals are now enabled on tracks with signals.

Additional Online Features and Adjustments
- A window that notifies the start of events, and countdowns for course voting has been added to the lower right of the open lobby.

-The upload timings for rankings have been changed for both Drift Rankings and Section Time Trials.

* Please note that after the patch is installed, there may be up to a 30 min additional install time which may differ from what is displayed on screen. Thank you for your patience, and please enjoy the great new content!

For more details on each of the above features, please refer to the online manual on gran-turismo.com.

And ... my PS3 went from "you need 80MB of space for this download" to a deletion of game data and then a new message: "you need 908MB of space for this download". There is nothing further that I can possibly delete.

In one update, GT6 became unplayable on certain PS3s. (I only bought this one because my 500GB PS3 died.) GT6 is the only game that had been on this machine.

Now EVERYONE has to retune their cars. That is great and terrible at the same time.

So all tunes now need resetting ?..

I really wish they didn't mess with the actual car physics. Kinda screws up my Suzuka time trial encyclopedia if I have to re-do everything. Doesn't seem like I have to worry just yet, but if they do anything more drastic, I'll be pissed.

The physics mod is the best thing they've done since release. Cars actually drive somewhat properly now, respond to weight transfer and so on. It's at least somewhat like it should have been on Day 1.

Sucks for people that have to redo their tunes, and I agree that in general they shouldn't mess with physics mid-cycle. But there was major things wrong, and this needed to happen. Now they have physics appropriate for a late gen-7 racing game, and that's important if they want to sell people on GT7.

If your setup is already fairly balanced, all it should take is camber adjustments. I think...and hope.

We already have threads on this patch in the GT6 forums.
