Update download problems, Please help!

Hi All,

I am very new to my PS3 and GT5 Prologue which I only just got this weekend, I have tried to download the update it keeps getting me to do but every time it gets about a quarter of the way through and then fails I now this does not let me view GT TV and I assume other stuff to as I can not tune or buy upgrade items for my car, I know that there is nothing wrong with my internet connection so I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and knows any answers.

Don't worry about it too much. Unfortunately there is no easy answer - you just have to keep trying. If it makes you feel any better I have NEVER managed to complete an update download w/out multiple attempts and I still have the Japanese version of Prologue and so I am working blind!
 
When the download fails go into News and it will restart where it failed. The progress meter starts from the beginning but the download itself picks up from where it dropped off.


You should be able to see GT TV without the download, but you can't get any new videos without it (I believe). Also, nowhere does the game allow you to buy parts, and the tuning isn't unlocked until you beat C, B, and A classs.


But yes, this is a fairly common problem, one that a search would have revealed the answer to.
