Update problems fixed?

It seems like no one is talking about how they cant download the update has left and everyone is now talking about what they like/hate in it. Now I'm starting to get scared because I can still not download one single bit of it. :nervous:

Is anyone else still not able to download the update? :guilty:
 
I downloaded my update about 24 hours after the initial release and had no trouble at all. I updated my PS3 system just before that, so maybe you want to check for the current PS3 version?

The major problems with people taking ages and repeated attempts at downloading the update, was because EVERYONE was trying at the same time, so it jammed up the servers.
When you boot up GT5p and it says "new update available", ignore that and go to your "my page" screen, then select to go online, then try to DL the update that way. It worked for me that way.
 
On the release day of the update I tried dowloading it a few times, and they failed both times. Then, the next day, I tried again and it downloaded in just a few minutes.

Like Duke said, maybe you need the latest software update for the PlayStation 3?

And Duke/Pepsi, you can be online on your PS3 without installing the update. But thanks.

Still nothing at all. :(

are you 100% sure you are connected to the internet???...
with your ps3...not your pc...if they are on the same modem,try to disconnect your pc and than try to update...

If I wasnt even connected I wouldnt even be getting a message telling me there is a new update and then failing it 100 times.

Uh, YES, you can be online without updating your PS3.

But maybe - just maybe - if you updated your PS3 you might not have trouble updating GT5P?

One member told me to GO to options in GT5P. GO to online or network options, (one all the way down) and clear the cache. When I clear Cache, I restart game by pressing the PS button, quit, and click on GAME disc again. Start it up, update, FAILD, took me this 3 tries, and on 3rd or 4th try, I click YES, then took about 15-20 minutes to update and it worked. SO make sure you clear your cache.
