Hello mates

I just downloaded Prologue today, from the Japanese PS Store.

Some hours ago I found out that there was an update available, but I am having a huge problem, when I try to get it!

Some times it downloads about 25% of the update, and other times 80% - then it stops, and gives some kind of error.

What shall I do? Just be patient, and try to download it several times?

I am using wireless network - would it help to change to wired network?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Thomas

I think I got it the third or fourth time. Just be patient. The online play is not at all its glory right now, so do not sit there anxiously waiting for the game to patch up. It really takes a long time. Just play the game till you get tired for the time, and patch it up after. Also try it during evening or early night.

But, I forgot to mention there will be a option for the force feedback 1-10, and screen adjustments if you choose to patch it up. Also many misc for online play and what not.

Some have suggested that a wired connection will work best for this, but there's no absolute proof. Everyone seems to have trouble at one point or another (FYI, I'm on a wired connection and had to try about 7 times to get the patch.)

In case you're not aware, you can resume the download process by clicking either the "News" or "GT-TV" icons rather than quitting the game and trying again. Also, the progress bar may stop for a while (say, 50% to 75%) and you may not get an error. It probably didn't freeze, so don't exit the game just yet. It may jump to 100% without any warning, which is what happened to me.

Good luck.

I finish my patch on the second try using wireless connection so yeah its got nothing to do with wired or wireless.

Oh, and by the way, I was using a wireless as well, its nothing to do with that. PS3 offers a decent one

Whenever I have problems updating the system, or downloading demos... it's often because there is some sort of interruption caused by our phone. For me it helps a lot if you unhook the phone cable before you start downloading. 👍
The people who try to call during the download can simply sod off :)

Thanks guys. I tried many times, and suddenly it worked :)

But, it did not take that long? Only 30 minutes I think?

Calls have nothing to do with it (they dont effect adsl for a start). Its something to do with the servers the files are hosted on. I watched my bandwidth while trying to get the update and the transfer simply stops all at once. Full speed then nothing.

To further make my point it took me around 20 tires to get the first update, and no one knows my home number, not even me.

One time i had problems with my PS3s connection. Whenever i logged in after few minutes, or even by turning the PC on the PS3 unconnected or the PC unconnected, and i could not even stay on for 30 minutes...

My solution was that on the PS3. I deleted the old connection options and started a new one. Since then out of 100 maybe 5 times i may get disconnected. it worked for me, it might work for you. so just set up a new connection for your PS3. Good luck
