Ok it seems I've been experiencing this for a while now.
When I go to update my thread when no one has posted in a few days it seems that my thread stays where it was and still remains as read. I know I cant double post.

But I find it wrong that the post doesn't move. Just because the thread has not had a new post, does that mean that my new info is not important? Just wondering.

Is there anyway of getting around this? I bought premium and that doesn't seem to be enough.

Editing your post doesn't make it a new one, if that's what you mean. It happens to everyone and you can't get around it. That's just the way the forum works, I'm afraid.

Nope, all forums are that way really. Editing a post will not bump it to the top. Sometimes I will double post if I have important info to share and if there's a significant amount of time between posts. (like a few days) "Bumping" threads is never allowed though.

Edit: tree'd

Thats what I was getting at, on my team thread, if its left alone for a week and the info is important to the team thread, is it ok to put a new post so that they can see it as unread?

I know double posting is frowned upon, I wouldn't just say hey to get it back to the top.

Yes, it's perfectly fine to put new information like that in its own post, or to simply comment stating that you've made some new bit of information available in the thread.

An explanation on bumping and what is and is not allowed is discussed in detail here in the FAQ.
