Urgent help needed!!! about action replay max

Ok so I have been playing the game on and off for about 2 years. I have everything done except some impossible missions or races I just can't finish. So here is my question
I have an action replay max. Can I use it to pass the missions (or in other word cheat) by checking the codes and still have the previous game data? or will that create a totally new game data with all the previous data erased? I know this is probably a Noob question but plaz answer it. Thanks so much for who answered.
 
Please DO explain why this is "URGENT HELP NEEDED!!!", since you've been playing the game "off and on" for two years? Why the sudden, overpowering, critical need to play it RIGHT NOW?!
 
do it,it won't erase anything.But be careful that,even if it gives you the completion percentage,it may or may not give you the prize car.

and dukei think you don't need to be rude.he asked the question,and if we can answer,we answer.if we can't,we can't and that's it.
