it's amazing that with all the technology the US has in military equipment and the huge amounts of funds injected into it, the Iraqi rebels are kicking their ass with 20-year-old AKs and 15-year-old bazookas... the C4 is new, but they got that from the US anyway.

The rebels aren't kicking ass. But, they are a constant problem in the area. New insurgents move into the are, everytime they start to clear up. Plus, most US casualties are from road-side bombs or suicide bombers that blow up un-armored Humvees. Plus, the enemy has more than AKs and RPGs, you know?

That was a pretty cool video. Some of the sounds were real weird.

Diego doesn't know much about anything, let alone the war in Iraq.

That video was sweet. A person would not be able to see an IR beam with their eyes, but with the proper eye enhancements (night vision goggles), you would be able to see it normally. Those AH-1 Cobras sure did have fun with that unlucky target. 👍

It isn't that Hollywood crap you hear in the movies. It's "the real deal" there, boy! Sounds sweet, huh! 👍

First, what sounds like a 13mm rotary cannon, then the 20mm three-barrel cannon, then the 70mm rockets! But, I didn't think it was the AH-1 Cobra gunships at first, because I didn't know they came with a 13mm high-speed rotary cannon. But the other two sounds were the 20mm and the 70mm rockets they carry, though.

Now was that really called for?

Just because I'm against the war and against american kids like yourself getting killed abroad for oil doesn't make me an ignorant. Unless... I support a war based on the lies of a madman... THAT would make me an ignorant, he he.

That's not really the point anymore. You can't change what the war started for...the fact of the matter is that there is a war going on, and these insurgents want to kill our men. You can't just pull out...that would be a waste of the lives already lost and for all the time spent...not to mention it would leave Iraq in a state worse than it started in.

Go Military. haha.

Cool video. 👍 I love real war videos like this.

That made me go back to my old Rainbow Six fan days, searching the net for military operation videos. I still remember a handful of them.

For those who want to take a look at how well equipped are our boys being sent to Iraq, check these websites.

That's the same thing they said about Viet Nam... but hey, it's your country, your kids and your war, so go military, whatever. On a side note, I pretty much doubt the war started because Saddam was a bad man who killed a lot of people... if that were the case, the US would've invaded a truckload of countries prior to Iraq. From the beginning it was nonsense. But of course, once the troops are at the war front, to pull them out doesn't generate much votes.

Perhaps a thread on the war itself should be started so we don't go too much off topic here... but of course, most people who support the war don't want to talk about it. :indiff:

A thread already has started and been "discussed" thoroughly.

Although I am opposed to the war, I do not take the same view as you.

That is really cool. And the minigun does sound strange.

Nice!

I bet that was the most action that old man had got in a very long time.

http://knobcreekshoot.com/Video.htm Scroll down for T1 speeds.

I wonder if Jordan ever gets to Knob Creek?

EDIT: I have another great video site, but they have videos that aren't suitable for children, or big peace-loving wussies. So, this site comes with a Warning!

There's a video of a AH-64 Apache gunship killing three insurgents with its GE 30mm chain gun that is quite gruesome. Hey, war's hell.

Yeah, that's why he made them Bittorrents, I guess. Do they download faster?

What do IR beams do? Just illuminate difficult-to-see targets emiting heat?

Yeah, the camera is IR, that he was using to shoot the video, and so was the spot light, as well as the IR beam you saw painting up the targets. And, if you look carefully, you can spot the Apache IR target sight lighting up the target just split seconds before the minigun opens up.

It looks for heat, and uses night vision technology and blends those images together.

I've no clue how fast it was before, but I'm getting about 100 KB/S - which is pretty decent for Bit Torrent.

bit torrent is fast depending on the amount of seeds. you'll always upload double of what you download, though.
