In the real world its not that simple, the point at which the ABS is triggered varies significantly from car to car (and ABS system to system).

Scaff

Ok, thanks. It's just that I never noticed much difference in braking performance whether I had it set to 1 or 10. But that's GT5 and not a discussion for here. ;)

ABS off for me.

I tend to tune out brake lock up anyway. Race brake system=mandatory install.

A pressure sensitive (load cell) brake pedal makes it much easier to drive without ABS on.

As Fanatec would say... "A good wheel feels good, good pedals make you faster!" There is some truth to that.

When I first got the game, I had seen comments from people saying they thought it was far easier with ABS, so I had kept it on for several weeks, and after finally feeling like I'd gotten a solid handle of the gameplay I kept noticing that most top times (as the OP pointed out) had no ABS... so I tried it, and found that if you're not mashing the brakes, you definitely have a much more precise and controlled braking slowdown, unlike ABS which tends to lockup far easier and on a standard controller can hardly be prevented.

ABS off simply requires a bit of finesse, but definitely provides better results in terms of lap times. ABS is just more forgiving when you make mistakes in late brake situations.

I'm one of those people without a wheel for Forza, but I played GT5 with a wheel ALOT! So getting use to not have full control over everything is though even thought it is much easier then GT5.

I have all assists off and use a controller. I think Forza is the best racing game to use a controller with, Of course a wheel would be better but you know what I mean.
