So, I am reaching the point of owning almost every car in the game. Now with trading of 1mil+ cars disabled, I would like to make a suggestion of being able to purchase cars you already own.

What I mean is, once you have bought a car from the used car dealership, allow that same model car to be purchased again without endless used car lot refreshing.

No one likes to refresh the 5 day used car dealership stock over and over just because the car you have been using has 300,000 miles and is drastically handicapped because of it.

I love some of the cars and I purchase duplicates of the ones I like and see more than once in the used car dealership, but leaving things to chance like that without any ability to trade for a new car of the same type ... is just annoying.

If I have 20,000,000 credits and I cannot refresh the car I like with a new one, what is the point of me playing the game then? Log in, refresh Used Car Dealership for 2 hours, no luck in getting my favorite car to show again, log off and be burnt out, bored, and unsatisfied .... almost feels like I'm a pros...ute with a premature ej.. customer (no satisfaction but all the dissatisfaction)

What do you all think?

Look, you're not going to go to your local used car dealership (in real life of course :D ) and find that you buy a car from them and as soon as you do a car identical to it will pop up. Just not going to happen. It won't be fixed because it is REALISTIC.

blah blah blah

I don't think Bugattis and LMPs are sold in REAL Used Car Dealerships.

I like the alliteration.

Not LMPs of course, but there are used exotic car dealerships out there (like in the rich parts of California).

To bad all the cars at the real life UCD are premium.

My idea for the UCD would make it more of an interactive online UCD.

Say someone has a car that they don't want anymore... Premium or standard. When "Joe GT5 Player" is in their garage and the select that car to be sold, It'll go online to the "UCD server" in the exact condition it's in when "Joe GT5 player" decided to sell it. "Joe GT5 Player" gets a choice of credits for however much the car is worth or a "10% off ticket" that can go towards the purchase of a new or used car. The option would be cool because those of us that are maxed out at 20,000,000 credits could save up 10% tickets and those that need the credits could take the credits.

The UCD would refresh the same way it does now but it would be full of actual used cars plucked from the "UCD server". Only things that you wouldn't get on a car from the UCD is the non removeable mods like the 3 stages of engine tunes or 3 stages of weight reduction, etc. All the removable, adjustable mods would stay on the car from the original owner.

I'd love to visit the UCD and find a lightly used 430 Scuderia for 150,000 credits. So what if it was matte pink... Anytime you'd buy from the UCD, you'd get a "GT Auto ticket". The ticket would be good for a free oil change, car wash and a new paint job.

^ That's what I thought the Online Car Dealership was going to be when I first heard of it. (Which was when I started the game.)

I've lost the game.

*Sarcasm* I see no possible way that this could ever be exploited or abused by anyone.

Then how come I can always buy a premium in the "Dealership" ... surely there arent an unlimited quantity of Mazda 787Bs ... Your logic faltered when you compared a game to real life. Simulate the driving experience, not the buying experience ... not even buying, but rather luck reliant searching.

THAT there makes no sense. This isn't a stock market simulation or where's Waldo simulation but a driving simulation. If i cannot simulate the driving experience on a car I want at it's optimal, then why call it a simulation or have the player drive at all? Just have Bobs drive around in overused, deteriorated cars because obviously they won't complain the car doesn't handle the way it used to.

If it was a totally random refresh of the UCD after every game day, just like it does now, I don't see how it could be exploited or abused. It would be the same UCD, just with cars actually used by players of the game.

I think the UCD should be bigger. I think it has something like 30 cars right now, but it should have 60-100. Maybe 100 with refresh intervals of 20. And the race/concept cars should be moved to a separate dealership, though the OCD works alright for this.

Alright, you got me. I spent time thinking and I can not think of a way someone could exploit this any more than the gift car thing, so yes it could work. You'll have to think of a way to give people more of an insentive to sell their cars to the UCD rather than just give them GT Auto tickets and % off tickets. What if, for every certain amount of $ in cars you sell to the OCD, you get a random car ticket. (1000 ticket, a rally car ticket, nascar ticket, level 12 ticket, 1983 ticket, etc.) Of course the more rare a ticket is, the less likely it is it will be the one to show up. You can keep people from reloading saves to try to get a better ticket by storing your OCD data & statistics on the server, just like how it stores that you have sent a car to someone or not in the last 24 hours. It also keeps people from making fake psn accounts with fake birthdays to get tickets.

Sounds like a nice idea, but that will most likely never happen....JS

Great ideas! Hopefully we see something like this one day. It would add a cool twist to the game.

Hit triangle and refresh your UCD and add a game day.

Pretty good idea, wouldn't be hard to make.

That was my idea of a online car dealership right when I first saw it.

Have a master car list in game with option to pre-order or notify when it appears in the ucd.
