I'd never played GT2 or GT1, and the first game I played from the GT series was GT3. I beat that a long time ago, but I was wondering exaactly how the used car option works since it's supposed to be in GT4. And also, are the used cars downgraded in performance compared to the same exact cars that are new? I just want to know how it works ahead of time before GT4. thanks

Kinda like that...they might not look the same either

Hopefully there will be scratches and stuff on them to

The second hand car option was really good. It included older cars, and really cheap versions of newer cars.

It was perfect for the very start of the game when you had only like 10000 cr and you needed to find a good cheap car. i so hope they bring it back

IMO the used car option was one of the best parts of the GT series

Did any of you see differences in horsepower or speed for a used car compared to the same car as a new car?

not really just because its older doesnt mean it slower

IMO they didnt make the used cars any slower, there just refected how they are in real life

Used cars can perform as good as brand new cars. But used cars are cheap and are great fun to race with :D

Ok sweet...that's pretty much all I wanted to know....I hope they don't have decreased horsepower for the used cars. Anyways, I heard that the cars at the used dealership every GT day...is that true? Just trying to figure stuff out thats all...lol :D

some of the cars do change from day to day

there i might be 5 s13 silvias of different colours and four the next

i check all the time for a special used car to come, like the 1971 Skyine GTR

Some of the older cars lied about their power in GT1

You'd buy a second hand Skyline with "276bhp" and it might have a chip and exhaust and 302bhp or it might only have 260bhp.

Some wouldn't tune properly either.

really, ive never played GT1

That is true indeed, the BHPs also weren't accurate with some types of the lancer and impreza's...........But i think they've made so much progress since then, that it won't happen again.

WATCH YOUR MILEAGE, IT CAN NEVER BE ENOUGH!

that is going sooo be so cool
:D

There are, in GT2 in particular, a large variety of "used" cars.
The 22B and the R-32 Skylines come to mind.
As cliche' as it sounds, I usually start with an older Skyline or the 2nd Gen RX-7. These versions have more power and better handling than the new cars that can be bought for the 10,000cr you start of with.
Unless you can "gold" all the tests in the "B" license and then you start with a Spoon S2000 and 10,000.:D
