User BGM doesn't work!

Hi all,

I've searched other threads but nothing is current or strictly the same as my problem. I cannot get user BGM to work consistently:

I load up my game and select a playlist of my own music for the menus and a playlist for the racing. Exit to the menu from BGM settings and my own music works fine.

If I then go to a race it's maybe 50/50 whether or not my playlist starts or I get silence. If it does work and I hear my music for the race, it only ever works once and will not work for a second race. At this point, the menu music will have reverted to default PD stuff again. Now is the really annoying part - I cannot then just re-apply my playlists in settings. I cannot click the button that reads 'Open PS3 system Music folder' - it does nothing. It just won't go to the XMB like it should.

Anyone got the same problem and found a solution?

Try going to the Settings outside of GT Mode and set it to play there. I have found trouble trying to set playlists while in the GTMode area.

Yes it does. Mine reset to default after update and I just had to do it again

Yes it does? I can change it to my playlists when I load up the game. It then reverts back to PD default after 1 race and I cannot re-apply my music until next boot. I'm long past the update, it's something that's happened in the past couple of days.

Thanks, user was unticked here but not in GTmode? Will test now.

Doesn't change anything. The button to select my music from XMB does nothing. Will not bring up my music at all apart from letting me do it once upon loading the game. Only restarting PS3 brings it back to function (and only once!).

I hate to say it but you might need to delete the Game Data and redownload all updates/install the game Data.

I wouldn't have any clue. About that but I would suggest making a backup of your save on a thumb drive. I have a 500gig External Hdd that gets a backup after every play session.
