Users against trading ban need a voice

With this ban PD has won themselves a decisive majority of users who oppose the contents of an update. Previously users would squabble and bicker and generally deal with whatever it was they opposed. Now that so many users oppose the contents of the recent update we should be allowed some type of voice letting PD or whomever know exactly how we feel. I write this because I heard moderators are shutting down these threads. The thing is that the payouts are far to small for the price of the cars. I don't dupe and never have. And I really want that Chapperal with 3 gears.

As I look at the GT5 forum, there are at least half a dozen threads open concurrently that are all discussing this (albeit somewhat different aspects of it). The only threads I've seen locked are ones that are straight up copies of threads that were already made.

We have a zillion topics on the 1,000,000 cr. limit and the trading limit. We don't need another zillion.

Sorry if it may seem that we are squelching things out of hand... but if you have a petition, we already have a feedback section, with a poll on this topic already in place.

If you want, also add your voice to the poll which asks if you like the new limit.

As it is, it's difficult to stay on top of this bevy of new topics and deciding which ones live and which ones die. What gets closed does not reflect the biases of the moderators (and you know us, we have always defended your right to do what you want in the game), but we are trying to keep things civil and orderly.

All will be sorted out eventually.

I haven't seen one Update 1.07 that doesn't turn ugly between posters. I has been taking only four posts it seems on average for name calling to happen.

If the moderators are shutting down the threads for no apparent reason, it's usually because of a duplicate conversation. Having the same conversation play out over multiple threads is just wastedful. If you really want a "voice", you can always shout until your heart's content.

Add me and I'll put it on my share list.. then you can atleast try it out ;)

Sorry I made a rash decision when posting. I heard they were shutting down every thread and tried to do something.

Thanks blitz. I will add you tonight. Can you do me a favor and equip Racing Softs. I'll send you a matte paint in return. Or if you can wait a day I'll send the Subaru equipped with the winning tune of the tuning competition we have going on here in the tuning forum. Or even better a car I enjoy driving. Your choice.

Perhaps in this particular instance, a merging instead of closing policy could be followed? Just to consolidate what is obviously a highly charged topic.

What would solve the "zillion" of topics is an official update topic for discussion of said update, with all other topics being instantly closed. This clears the clutter and makes it easier for the moderators to clean the hate posts.

This has worked great on a other online game, RuneScape, fan site with 15,000 members.

PD does something, people complain on GTP, GTP staff (who have nothing to do with it) have to deal with it.

What would really solve the problem is if people actually looked at the list of what's already been posted instead of immediately clicking the "New Thread" button.

Of course, what would also help is people not using useless thread titles like "Does anyone know..." or "Why did they...", but that's a whole 'nother issue.

This! It's way faster to look for 0.5 seconds and finding the thread you want that to needlessly start another flame war, Forza vs GT5, etc...
