Using backup data will it reset car tunes?

I have searched other threads but could not find the answer to this one, feel free to re direct me if I missed it.

I have to do a system restore on the PS3, I have backed up the GT5 data as it will be erased. The question I have, is when I reload saved data back to PS3 will individual car tunes also be restored?

For example two separate cars with individual tunes for different tracks, or are the cars restored with default setting? Thank you in advanced for your help.
 
As it completely backs up everything, no data, including individual settings, will be lost after performing a backup, assuming the backup worked properly.
 
Thank you very much for the response, that is music to my ears and not to mention hands, dreading having to write down all the tunes. I Will stop stalling and attempt it tonight.

It's possible you might lose the thumbnails for the cars. You can restore them all at once within the garage menu somewhere, but it takes hours so do it just before bed and let it run.
 
Thanks for advice Johnny, I am now feeling a lot more confident in undertaking the task of trying to preserve over a year and a half of time spent playing.

Back up on your PC as well. Just in case.
 
Thanks for the help, all went to plan, restored all GT5 Data with individual tunes as mentioned. I did need to re-load most thumbnails, but this is extremely easy with the create all thumbnails option in the garage. My concerns are all answered and fears gone.
