i transfer my pics to the psp all the time and i get no error. maybe your memory stick is full.

No cant be, i only have 4 saved games on there and thats all... i cant get it to interact with my PC either... keeps saying i need a driver for my psp which i shouldnt and it doesnt show up as a removable drive like it should.....

i put the unit into USB mode and it should transfer normally right? no catches? everything is connected correctly and everything...... someone on another site said something about having to format their mem stick duo..... i never did....

i just started playing and saving? im not a computer illiterate person or anything of the type so i know it sounds odd i guess... but do you have to format it normally? anyway.... thanks... any advice is welcome

If you want to transfer files to and from your PC and PSP, you will need a modern operating system that supports hot swappable devices. That means Windows 2000/XP.

You can transfer your Photo Mode pictures from GT4 to your PSP's Memory Stick. Although you cannot view them on your PSP (they're not copied to the 'PHOTO' directory, just to the root directory under 'GT4'), it is another way to get your photos to your PC if (for some reason) you do not have a USB flash device.

Go ahead and format your memory stick

I'd say 95% of users having problems using USB flash devices with GT4 is because they didn't format correctly.

Settings > System Settings > Format Memory Stick

and how can you view the GT4 pics on your PSP?
Because there isn´t any option in photo-mode to save "on a PSP" just "save on MC1/MC2 and Save on USB Flash", so how can you do that?
...and will be there a Photo-mode in GT4-PSP either?

just get the pictures from the GT4 folder and cut or copy them into your PHOTO folder in the PSP folder

1st off i was in the exact same boat as you. i had my psp all plugged up and had my Sony 32mb card 👎 formatted and got errors. then i popped in my SanDisk 256mb 👍 in and presto no error and all my photos fit on the card no problem. as for getting it to interact with ur pc. u need new usb drivers. do a search. but mine gives me a high speed device error but still works fine.

Since I was one of the first or the first on this forum to say PSP allows you to download GT4 photos onto your PSP. I might aswell do a quick guide

Here is how to get GT4 photomode screens onto your PSP first load up GT4. Once its loaded select USB mode on your PSP. Once thats done take the photomode screen you want.

Once thats done and you have the photo taken press the botton, which allows you to transfer photomode screens to a USB Device. Make sure you have USB selected as the device in photomode where the photos are uploaded to.

While it transfers the photos you should see the bar on your PSP in USB Mode going left to right and right to left. Once its completed a message will say its complete.

Now with the photomode screens on your PSP, get your PSP connected up to your PC by USB. While keeping it on USB Mode, once the PC knows you have the PSP connected.

Look throught the main starting page where the folders on your PSP are stored and find GT4. You should now find the photomode screens in the GT4 folder.

I have the japanese version of GT4 and ps2, I have no idea what's it saying. But from what I can recognize it's saying something about a memory card error... Any help with the translation?

Maybe you guys didn't update your PSPs. Make you you did update it. I'm not having any problems with that and if you didn't format it back up what ever saved in the memory stick than format it. If you did already format it try to format it again it might work if you tried again.

werd, im using ver2.00 psp software, i think sony has released a ver2.01. but anyway my sony 32mb card wouldnt work so i have to use my SanDisk brand one. it works fine. as long as you follow all the common stuff like having psp in usb mode and transfering from gt4 to a usb. it works that way for me. when gt4 transfers to the psp it wont be put in the "PHOTO" s folder, it will be put in a "GT4" folder in the root folder with folders "PSP" and "MP_ROOT" to access these folders u must usb mode the psp to a computer and browse the card from the pc.

Actually, there is a way to view the all your photo's on your PSP (without transfering them with your PC). I use this cool app called File Assistant. It allows you to view photo's and allows you to look everywhere on your memory stick (including the Root). Click the GT4 folder, then click your photo and voila.
Note: Fileassistant only works on PSP's that have firmware version 1.50. If you have version 2.00 you're lucky, you can downgrade to 1.50. I won't post any links here since I'm not sure if that's allowed.

Remember Google is your friend ;)
