Using the Jaguar XJ13 Race Car ‘66 for a Seasonal Event

Hello wise tuners and racers. In the short time period since I discovered and became addicted to GT5, I've bought two of the Jaguar XJ13 Race Car ‘66 as a result of needing to spend money. I'd really like to drive this car competitively in a seasonal race but most of the tunes I've come across have been for soft racing tires, while the only seasonals with high PP allowances (like the 710 Dream Car and 750 Real Circuit) call for hard racing tires.

So, if anyone has had a chance to drive the Jaguar XJ13 Race Car in one of the seasonal events and win, please let me know as I would love to give it a try. I keep reading that it is the best of all the four classic, high dollar race cars, so I'd really like to give it a shot!

If you come across tunes for this car using RS tires, just turn down the LSD settings, namely the Acel settings, and it should be fine. Of course there are other tweaks you could make, but the LSD settings will have the greatest effect on the tune. You will have to use a bit more throttle control with the harder tires also.
 
I used it to ace the Historic Cup in A-Spec (offline). It's a most incredible car - I love it to death.
Now that I'm getting richer I'll probably buy a dozen.
 
I have just checked it out; there are a lot of possibilities. Challenge 1 – 5 for the 650 PP events, 550 PP Supercar Nostalgia, and directly a cheat car in 500PP World Classic Car and 620 PP Supercar Festival.

As always, thank you for the advice. There are many non-seasonals I can use the Jag in...I just didn't think to look there because I've been focused on Seasonals for so long

I am loving this car too !! I recently bought it for the first time as i also have reached 20 Mil for the first time too.

I am subscribing to this thread :)
 
When I write it is a cheat car it is because it is of course legal, but so superior that it is like cheating. I also have the impression that many here consider it almost like cheating to use a race car against non race cars even when the game allow it.
