I'd like to see MGS done by Michael Bay.

Michael Mann, he'd give it style and he'd get the action right.

Ummm, the most promising game to movie conversion ever... and they want to make SURE it doesn't work? I really don't get it...

I can't see Hideo Kojima agreeing to this. Surely he cares enough about his "baby" to not consign it to death giving a tarnished reputation... A Uwe Boll movie would make the next game in the series sell very badly...

"Mr Mann" has a straightforward enough name to be part of the MGS universe to me!

They would need to keep David Hayter on the voice work, or get someone that sounds EXACTLY like him...

MMM'uhhhh. GRRRRRR'uhhhhh. HHHUUURRRRRRR'uuuhhh.

[/snake noises]

I'd like to see someone act that crap out WITHOUT making a fool of themselves.

Not gonna happen. I think he's just trying to market himself.. to try to get the studios to believe that game makers actually want him to make movies of their games, which isn't the case.

Granted, Eww Boll does want to make a film. As I recall, however, Hideo Kojima told him to go **** himself. Konami aside, MGS is Kojima's baby. He wants to see it done as a film, too, but he wants it done right, or not at all. And he's well aware of Eww Boll's track record.

Has anyone seen "Blood Rayne" yet? Or should I say, has anyone felt the need to clean their eyeballs with sulphuric acid after watching "Blood Rayne" yet? Is it really that bad? And is Boll really that bad? I've not seen any of his films so I only know what I've read. It was enough to put me off for sure, but really, should'nt I watch at least one so I can know for sure how awful the films are?

If there is any Metal Gear movie, it will be directed by Hideo Kojima himself.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. He'd enlist some help, but without doubt he would the top dog.

I remember reading an interview somewhere with Kojima where he expressed doubts about his ability as a movie director (using this as a reason to "just keep MGS a game for now").

I think he would get help, but retain very strong creative control.
But maybe not, he seems happy enough to pass down the MGS series to others after #4...

Anyone seen a Wesley Snipes movie called "the marksman"? it seemed like a MGS movie, a utterly terrible one, but it seemed like one.

For the hole of the sain worlds sake do not give Metal Gear Solid to Uwe Boll, he's managed to ruin 2 good game/film & will know doubt ruin the few he has coming up. I like alot of bad movies, but even Alone in the dark is beyond likeable!

Indeed Micheal Mann would be a good choice, i doubt he'd do it though. My personal choice would be Luc Besson, great action/thriller/emotional director.

Why has knowone sudgested Keifer Sutherland to play Snake?? he has the exact same gruff voice. Or if they need a low budget version that bloke who was in Anacondas and Hostage, his voice is pure evil/class!

Yes the marksman, I've seen that, Wesley Snipes plays the painter and has to plant this beacon for some bombs to target or something like that. It was utter balls.

Now you mention it, Keifer would be a good choice, dye his hair black (going grey) and let him loose. He's got the right kind of mood and presence, I think your right.

Please tell me that isn't happening... And I wonder when Uwe will present "Lumines the Movie" as his next "Big Project"...

Never played Far Cry, so i cant comment. But i know he's doing (i think its called) Dungeon Siege, with Jason Statham! should be............................... interesting.

Did anyone else find House of the Dead somewhat entertaining??? I know it is quite possibly the worst film ever made, but its so ridiculous that i somewhat enjoyed it. That spinning camera thing he did was so laughable it was great to watch.
Also did anyone else know theres a sequel coming out!!! Its going straight to cable & it hasnt even got Ewe Boll doing it, how bad most it be!

Has anyone seen "Blood Rayne" yet?

Yep, I went on opening day with a bunch of guys from work.

It was bad.

Not as much boobage as I was hoping for.

Ultimately, though, it's just a forgettable movie. Lackluster acting, mostly brought out by a pretty awful script.

For me it was a big 'meh'.

Well I've seen my fair share of forgettable movies so maybe "Blood Rayne" is no worse than many other average films I've unfortunately seen. Still I've no intention of wasting money on it. If it comes to TV maybe I'll watch it then!
