UWRC Ultimate World Racing Challenge

We have been working for this in the past 3 months and now, it’s time to talk about facts.
This racing challenge will follow the role model of a football/soccer league. Teams must be created and every team will have a team leader, who will have special functions during the challenge.

Beginning of the first race 5.3.2007
We will drive in 4 different classes:
Road Cars (200 – 300 hp)
GT3 class (race cars less 350hp)
GT2 class (350 – 50hp)
GT1 class (more than 500hp)
Every Team will have 4 drivers and 1 up to 2 substitutes.
But how the teams come together?
First of all, we need Team Leaders!
Each 6 drivers need one Team Leader so, for 72 drivers we need to search for 12 Team leaders.
How can you become a Team Leader and what you will have to do we will be explained later on.
Every Team Leader will get a budget of 15.000€ in the beginning of the season then, he will have to buy the drivers for his team.
How can a Team leader buy his drivers?
Based on the GRTP Ranking list we have given to every driver a “prize” so the Team Leader can start buying his drivers (by talking to them and recruiting them for example).
To say it in easy words: the budget must be managed, it will be enough for two fast drivers and four “slower” drivers, or 6 Mid Class Driver …and so on. Here you can do what you think is the right thing and there is no limitation.
But one rule exists: no credit, you can’t exceed the budget and sponsors will not be accepted.
You can take your own risk and buy only one substitute, but that’s very risky. If one driver leaves your team caused by a lack of time and another driver is on holiday, you will loose one battle.
Every team leader will have to announce his team in the sub forum “Team Lounge”. Drivers not sold after 28.2.2007, will be sold in an auction. We will start at 25% of the regular prize. But don’t expect there will only be sold the “slow” Drivers. Because of the tuff budget we expect the Aliens to be sold there.
Okay, now teams are ready!
Before starting the challenge EVERY driver has to select 12 cars and 12 tracks from his driving Car class. This selection of every driver has to be announced to the organisation by PM.
Every team now will define one DRIVER for each class. Substitutes will help if somebody leaves the challenge or in case of holidays. Also the substitutes can support every driver in “his” own race and they also can replace the driver during the race if wanted by the team. This supersede of the actual driver has to be announced by team leader to organisation.
Good substitutes can be drivers having only low interest or with a lack of time for example.
We will drive with the following settings:
Quick tuning 0% / 0%
Tires: R4 for Race cars and S2 for Road cars.
Voluntary using different tires on one axle are not allowed.
All other settings are free of choice.
Now we have another innovation!
We have created driver accounts where every driver can collect “extra money”. With this money the driver can invest before starting a new race for following tuning:
1000€ for tires 1 class better (R5 or S3)
100€ for one percent Quick tuning (more hp or less weight)
Maximum he can invest is 1000€ per race, no credits accepted.
For each tuning option (hp and weight) will be only allowed 500€, if he chooses both options he pays 1000€ for 5% more hp and 5% less weight. Driver account are administrated by the Organisation and posted on the talking thread for the UWRC challenge.
When races are finished results will come together like following:
Each victory per class gives one point for the team.
The team with 4:0 or 3:1 points will get 3 points in the leader board, if the final result is 2:2 each team will get one point. At the end of the challenge the winner team is the team with the most points. Just like by football / soccer.
A few notes:
(Please read complete because the job of the team leader is wide. Therefore PM with applications only from persons who will have the time and the interest, because we must trust this people by 100%).
Attached to the already announced jobs the team leader will have the following functions:
1. his job is what we already wrote before
2. He will have a seat in the board of directors (BOD) Here will be made important decisions for the challenge if necessary. Every Team leader has one voting, also every member of the organisation (Rethima and ofronk) will have one vote.
3. before starting a new race the team leader has to announce the car/track selection of every driver.
4. Every team gets an own sub forum. There he has to take that everything goes well.
Drivers from different countries/Forums
GTRP drivers also do advertising for this challenge in other forums (www.gtplanet.com for example) We hope and expect to bring a lot of new and quick drivers and join them in this challenge. This drivers will get the “prizing” by information’s we collect from other drivers.
Sponsoring
We’re trying to get some sponsoring gifts or giveaways from real car manufactures. This will be given out for best driver, fairest driver and other reasons. We hope we will get a lot of good things.
