v1.07 Trade Predictions

So, what trends do you expect to emerge from the chaos that is 1.07?

I predict we'll see a much wider variety of cars changing hands here.

I predict random tickets will become a lot more valuable.

I predict a series of less-valuable cars, sent over multiple days, may become a semi-acceptable substitute for one valuable car.

Don't quote me on this, but I think we may even see extensive dupe networks and cooperative trade threads set up to beat the one car per PS3 limit, and to increase the chances of getting a good car out of a random ticket. I'm too lazy to explain how a dupe network would work.

It'll certainly be interesting to see how the GT community adapts to this (very poorly thought out) update.

Let's not get spammy in here, because that's the number one cause of locked threads.

I just found out about this lil update. I'm glad I have been spending the last few weeks gridning collecting cars becuase I figured something like this was going to happen.

My last trades today were a Ford GT LM Race Car and the Camaro LM Race Car.

I sure hope this is only going to be temporary. 5 million or 10 would of been or more reasonable limit.

As I've been saying, just ban gifting the X2010. Either that, or unlimit our credits so we don't end up spending literally all our money on one car (Mark IV, 330 P4, XJ13).

I'm glad my last trade was to get a Miura.

I can see the stock of Level 12, 17, 21 & 24 tickets going up (if they can still be traded) and the 370Z gta can still be traded so that may become one of the mot valuable cars again?

I can't see why Kaz could of just let us sell the cars, I mean, its not that hard to implement, just sell it for a third of the normal price. Job done.

And yeah, I can see people trading rare cars again, like the 22B and the SS Sprinter Trueno...

I wasnt very happy when i first heard of duping, seeing as i legitly won my x1s, then the next day seeing like a billion little children with them and people that couldnt drive them.. Good thing i have most of the expensive cars already, the only thing i really dont like is the 1 car and 5 paints per machine a day.. Thats a big sad face.. Oh well.. Alls i need is my cheap drift cars anyways to keep me happy!!

You know, I was thinking about this last night, and I'm not sure I'd be surprised if this was a response to the large numbers of X2010-wielding no-skillers terrorizing online rooms. If that's true, this may be a quick fix while they get something else coded, and we may well see more attention paid to gifting in the weeks to come.

If free trade is restored, we'll probably see something like level requirements for driving the X2010 and other uber cars online, or X2010-only rooms like they have with the kart and F1s to keep that type of thing away from normal races.
