I wasn't accusing you. :)
From what I've read (have to look at some of my books, don't remeber exactly), engine wise, the '73 was the worst year for the 240z. The 71 was the last car relativley untouched by emissions (my car's year, :D). But, that shouldn't be a problem with a turbo 280Z engine swap.

I wouldn't expect any handling miracles from the car, the massive V12 would muck up front/rear weight distribution in huge ways. But, I'd guess some of that would be compensated for since the engine is pretty much mid mounted.
The weight distribution figures have already been mentioned, the engine actually IS mid-mounted, and the weight distribution is better than that of a stock GT-R.

The engine is all made of aluminium and is just as heavy as the rb26dett and the weight balance is 55% / 45% because the engine has been moved 300 mm back. It still has four wheel drive and the four wheel steering.

Configuration : V 12 cylinders
Capacity : 6715 cc (89 x 90 mm)
Valve actuation : 4 over head camshafts, 48 valves
Forced induction : 4 turbochargers
Max. power : 1000 horsepower
Max. torque : Over 100 kgm (723 lb/ft)
Clutch : Multiplate
Gearbox : 6 speed sequential

Chassis : Multipoint rollcage welded to the shell
Suspensions : Double whishbones, KW adjustable shocks
Brakes : 381 mm discs (front) 355 mm (rear)
Wheels : 13 x 18 magnesium
Tires : 345/35-18
Length : 4650 mm
Width : 1910 mm
Height : 1215 mm
Weight : 1000 Kg

0 to 60 mph : 3 seconds
Quarter mile : 9 seconds
Top speed : 220 mph

no..
but as said in another forum...
it's a mercedez v12 with a brabus crankshaft that's what gave the displacement..

and yes the V12 is lighter than the RB26...which is also a great race engine

wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

Insane GTR!!!
By the way how do you paste a pic on to this thread and have a custom with your own pics anyway.
Hopefully, I'll try to do this with my GTR. JGTC Replica! :dopey:

P.S Does anybody know of any Companies who make GT500 bodykit replicas for GTR'S? I've been searching everywhere but i can't find any.

Anyways, that is sure a nice GTR!

what, only 220mph? with proper gear ratios it would challenge/go neck to neck with Bugatti Veyron!

I seriously doubt it. I can't imagine the aerodynamics of this being better than the Veyron (drag-wise, that is), with that huge rear wing and positive downforce.

I'm sure a V12 stuffed into a Skyline, and blown by four turbos is as reliable as can be 👍 Absolutely nothing could break.

:lol:Yep, incredibly reliable...

Whats the point of stuffing a V12, when clearly a skyline engine can be made to produce more than 1000hp, and its not one of the fastest street gtr, the veilside gtr runs 8 secs on street legal tyres, does 0-300KMP/H in 13 secs. But the only thing i'll say is the top speed of that car, WHOOOO!, 220MPH! But the bodykit would'ev been made exclusively for the owner.

I'd prefer a classic inline 6 with 450-800 hp, this V12 surely is nicely done, but not my cup of tea....
