I agree it would look far sexier without the wing on the back, however I'm sure it is needed.
 
Who chose those wheels? They look like the same wheels I always see on Commodores and Falcons. :yuck:
 
i love that AM. I love all AM. wonderful car this v12.... but do they really think this will be on the same level of the Fiorano? sorry, it won't. ever
 
At last! Now when you drive along in the Vantage and feel like you're doing a million MPH, you can look at the speedo and see that YOU ACTUALLY ARE!

Off topic: A 997. 3.8 twin turbo engine with 700 hp and 890NM torque. (656 lbf-ft), in a modified Cayman. Not the same thing as you suggest but close ;).

Ruf CTR3 = completely custom supercar, shares no Cayman bits, other than perhaps some minor interior stuff.

On topic: Yes, it does look better without the wing!
 
As mentioned earlier, the wheels really are not up to AM standards. Not sure why they're even there. But the concept is good. If I were to guess at what AM would end up doing, it would be a supercharged version of the V8 with similar output, rather than the V12. I think they'd keep the V12 (more powerful or not) with the DB cars to keep the status quo (emphasis on 'status').

But the car is as beautiful as the V8 Vantage it came from. Now it just needs to lose a few hundred more pounds.

Like every other supposed "lightweight" out there.

Yeah, it's interesting, isn't it. :) Of course it's just a concept... The wing, btw, is supposed to drop flush into the decklid.

I like it because it's mad - and because it will be the quickest Aston for a while. It came about because someone decided to have a go at dropping the V12 into the Vantage... and it fitted. Buy a DB9 and a Vantage and have a go yourself, pet machine shop and a few hours labour - you'd be surprised. You'd get a nice V12 Vantage and a DB8! :)
 
I'd sell the V8 Vantage motor and install a turbo'd version of a DB7 Straight Six into the DB9...
