V12s

Hey I really like cars with V12s in them, but I cant find very many in GT2... the ones i currently know about are the Lister Storm V12, Vector M12, Vector M12 LM, and TVR Speed 12. I wanted to know if anyone else knew of any others and could help me out with it.
 
I found out on some site (don't remember) that the cultus has a V12:)
 
According to the game the cultus has two inline 4 dohc engines. Maybe you´ve seen something on the previous versions of the escudo that had two v6 engines?

The GT90 is also a v12. I don´t belive there is any other v12 in the game.
 
The Jaguar XJR15 Race Car is also a V12. And a very overlooked one too...another one is the Chrysler Phaeton; but it's too big to be competitive with the other V12 cars.

My guess is that the HKS Drag cars are are also turbo V12s, but the game won't say...the engine note just doesn't sound like the typical RB26DET(T) in all the other GT-Rs, in my opinion.
 
Forgot those two. The xjr15 is indeed a great car and it was funny to see top gear´s comment on the him. "worst handling car of all times" I believe. Guess Jeremy didn´t have ascc to play with; boy he was really sweating.

Anyway the game does say the engine type of the drag cars (well my version anyway). They both have a 2.6 liter straight six DOHC. We have cases like the escudo where amazing HP can be squezed out of a V6, still it does sound a bit awkward that a I6 can reach those 1011 HPs.
 
Why? Nobody doubts the Skyline R34's 941? hp output with just 600cc more. And the Escudo has 2 V6s.
 
the problem is when a v6 or l6 engine is COMPRESSED to HP 900+ by a super turbo or sth, the torque of the engine will be as little as an ant's strength; (

I´m not doubting I´m just saying maybe it was easier to extract that kind of power from a v12; still they must have more experience with the straight six.



And the Escudo has 2 V6s.

The previous versions of the escudo from 94-96 or something like that had two v6s, the version we play with in gt2 has only one.
 
All Escudos in all version have 2 V6s. Yes, the specification screen will say it only has 1, but go read the vehicle information in the Suzuki car lot. It'll say there are 2.

Amazing how they managed to keep the power levels after losing an engine.
 
Hmmm....always a bone of contention: Whether the Escudo or Cultus has two engines or not? The descriptions say they each have two engines; the specs on the Cultus gives 2 engines, the Escudo does not. Since PD has included many spelling, grammatical, and typographical errors in GT2, it's fair to say the issue will be unresolved until a Suzuki fan gives us the hard facts on these cars.

Either way, they are just computerized simalcrums of reality; whether they are indeed 12-cylinder engines is a moot point.
 
The part I quoted seems pretty clear on the car´s descripition.
Anyway other info on the car says this version packs indeed only a v6.
 
Alright I buckled down and looked high and low for V12s in the game, and found that there are 7.

1. Dodge Phaeton
2. Jaguar XJR15 Race Car
3. TVR Speed 12
4. Vector M12
5. Vector M12 LM
6. Lister Storm V12
7. Ford GT90

These are from looking through the Prima guide at the regular cars, and skimming through the Special cars. I dont know about the cars that can be won. Anyways just thought id update.
